Thursday´s News Bits
  • The iPhone can be hacked via its SSL protocol. It´s really easy to cheat the system, since it checks for known data sources and in case you indicate Apple Computer, it will accept any information without a problem. We hope Apple fixes the issue soon. (source: The Register)

  • The Nokia X6 gets a software update. No list of the improvements that the update brings along has been published yet, but you can get it installed over the air easily and there is no reason to worry about the personal information on your own handset. (source: The Symbian Blog)

  • Paperboy Classic is a cheaper version of the iPhone game. The gameplay is similar to that of the full edition, with the only difference being there are no 3D visuals. If you´re thinking of buying the title, you better do it before February 10, because this is when its price rises from $0.99 to $2.99. (source: AppAdvice)

  • Nokia Diagnostics is an application that helps you find various problems. The program checks the network coverage and internet connectivity as well as the battery, loudspeaker and earpiece functionality of your handset. You can give it a go (on a Nokia cell phone, of course) by downloading it via the source link: Nokia Beta Labs
