Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 deals to expect:
- Motorola.com: Motorola usually offers launch-period incentives. For example, the company gives buyers trade-in bonuses, instant discounts, or storage upgrades. These deals often appear within the first few weeks after release and can significantly lower the price.
- Carriers: Major carriers have historically offered aggressive promotions on Razr models, including bill credits with trade-ins or discounts tied to premium plans. Similar offers should also be present for the Ultra, especially as carriers look to push foldables as flagship alternatives.
- Retailers: Retailers like Amazon and Best Buy have previously bundled Razr phones with gift cards or temporary price cuts. While not guaranteed at launch, these deals usually appear within the first couple of months.

Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 camera setup:
- 50 MP main camera with OIS and f/1.8
- 50 MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.0
- 50 MP front-facing camera with f/2.0
The Razr Ultra features a next-gen 50 MP LOFIC sensor that, according to Motorola, captures up to six times more dynamic range. Motorola has also upgraded the processing, and the phone should offer improved low-light photography.
Also, the colors from the phone are Pantone-validated to be true-to-life. The Razr Ultra also features Dolby Vision Capture.
Of course, you can also take advantage of Flex View positions for the camera to use the foldable form factor as a tripod for hands-free group images.
The camera also features these updated a new photography modes:
- Camcorder Rotate to Zoom: a simple wrist rotation gesture lets you smoothly zoom in and out in camcorder mode.
- Group Shot: AI captures multiple frames in seconds to blend for the best expressions of everyone in a group image.
- Signature Style: this feature allows the phone to learn your editing preferences.
- Frame Match: you can lock the perfect frame and then hand the photo to anyone and avoid the risk of a bad frame instead with an on-screen guide.
- Creative Watermarks: featuring intelligent color matching for the watermark.
- Ultra HDR optimized for Instagram: you can take advantage of 5x enhanced dynamic range in the camera app or directly from the Instagram app.

Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 display
| Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 | Screen size | Brightness |
|---|---|---|
| Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 | Main display: 7.0" Cover display: 4.0" | Up to 5,000 nits Up to 3,000 nits |

The Razr Ultra got an upgrade in the display department with a new peak brightness that's frankly exceptional, at least on paper. The main foldable display also sports a 165Hz display refresh rate and a resolution of 2992 x 1224 pixels.
We're once again having the 22 by 9 aspect ratio: slightly taller than other phones. This could unfortunately lead to black bars when viewing stories on social media.
As for the outer display, it's not changed as much. We have the same edge-to-edge 4-inch cover screen. Motorola continues to allow you to easily add all your apps on the cover screen.
The main display comes with improvements in color processing and Pantone validation for true-to-life skin tones and colors. The cover display also sports the 165Hz refresh rate for an extra smooth feel.
Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 battery
The Razr Ultra is getting a battery upgrade as well, now sporting a 5,000 mAh battery cell. According to Motorola, the phone is capable of giving you up to 36 hours of battery life on a single charge.
Meanwhile, charging remains at 68 W and 30 W wireless, which comfortably outperforms Samsung's flip phones. The phone also supports reverse charging and silicon-carbon technology for the battery.
Of course, a charger in the box is not present as expected, so you should plan for a compatible USB-C fast charger capable of at least 65 W if you want to make use of the full charging capabilities on the Razr Ultra 2026.
Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 features and software
The Razr Ultra 2026 ships with Android 16 and Motorola’s lightweight custom interface. Moto AI is once again here, and you can use features like "Catch me up" to summarize your notifications and advanced global search to help you find what you need on the phone.
Motorola also lets users explore other AI platforms and continues its partnership with Microsoft's Copilot for productivity.
Unfortunately, software support stays for another year, at least three major Android updates and four years of security patches, which is still behind Samsung's and Apple's seven-year update cycle.
Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 hardware and specs
Motorola Razr Ultra 2026's specs:
- CPU: Snapdragon 8 Elite
- RAM: 16 GB LPDDR5X
- Battery: 5,000 mAh
- Charging: 68 W wired, 30 W wireless
- Storage: 512 GB
- Camera setup: 50 MP main + 50 MP ultra-wide + 50 MP front-facing camera
- IP48 rating
- Panton Cocoa and Orient Blue colors
- Connectivity: 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth, NFC, USB-C
Curiously enough, Motorola decided to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor for another year instead of jumping to the 8 Elite Gen 5 as was rumored. That's still a flagship processor, but in terms of longevity, it may be weaker in a few years compared to other phones that got out in 2026, like the Galaxy Z Flip 8.
Should I wait for the Motorola Razr Ultra 2026?
- You should wait for the Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 if you want the most complete flip phone experience, value long battery life, fast charging, and a truly usable cover display, and are coming from an older flip or regular slab phone.
- You should not wait for the Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 if you already own the Razr Ultra (2025) or if price is your main concern. While we still don't know a lot about the upgrades, they will most likely be incremental compared to the last generation and may not justify paying $1300 for a new one so soon.
