Ilia was first fascinated by the wonders of consumer tech through his granddad’s desktop computer and dot-matrix printer. That fascination later extended to all sorts of gadgets and software.
His first phones were a Nokia 6310, an Alcatel OT-310, and a Motorola C205, all of which he loved dearly. He was a staunch supporter of physical keyboards, so his first smartphone was the Nokia E7, which took him through endless banter on early Twitter. The Sony Ericsson Arc S finally changed his opinion about on-screen keyboards, but he switched between iOS and Android for years before settling with Apple a few years ago.
When not doomscrolling or nerding out, he’s walking his dog in the park, moving weights in a nearby gym, or fighting with Duolingo in slowly-advancing Spanish.
