The Galaxy S27 series leaks are ramping up even though there are at least three months before its premiere. We’ve already seen reports and renders of the potential redesign of the Galaxy S27 Ultra, but now a reputable leaker may have revealed its colors as well.
Galaxy S27 Ultra may come in four base colors
One of the few missing details about the design of the upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra was its retail colors, but this information may have been revealed by leaker Ice Universe. According to a post on X, the four main colors of the upcoming flagship will be the following:
Black
Blue
White
Light Pink
In terms of names, there’s only one significant difference with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which also came in four main colors. Instead of a Deep Purple version, the new flagship appears to switch to a new Light Pink version, though even that’s under question.

There’s also a special Galaxy S27 Ultra color

In a follow-up post, Ice Universe added that there could be another “special” color in the list. This shade could be called Violet, meaning that the Galaxy S27 Ultra will basically repeat the colors of the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
While the main colors of this year’s flagship didn’t include it, there’s a Pink Gold option, which is exclusive to Samsung’s web store. This could be the case with the rumored “special” violet color, which may be the online exclusive this time around.

What’s missing from this report are details about the specific shades of the colors. While Light Pink is almost certainly going to look quite different from Pink Gold, the name itself doesn’t reveal how different the blue S27 Ultra could be from the Sky Blue S26 Ultra.
It’s also unclear whether the Galaxy S27 Pro will come in the same colors as the Ultra model. This would make sense, considering the leaks that claim the Pro will adopt the same new design as the Ultra.
Fan reaction to the colors of the Galaxy S26 Ultra were quite mixed. Many users on Reddit enjoyed the Sky Blue version, calling it clean and refreshing. However, the overall sentiment was that the color options were boring, too muted, and lacking the vibrancy of the shade Apple offered for the iPhone 17 Pro.

Samsung may need to change its best color

While many Galaxy S26 Ultra owners saw the Sky Blue shade as the best of the bunch, this very light blue is too similar to the Glacier iPhone 18 Pro. It’s unlikely for Samsung to want to clash so directly with one of the two special colors Apple has this year.
This is why it would make more sense for the Galaxy S27 Ultra to arrive in a darker blue, probably similar to the Navy Blue of the Galaxy S25 or the Deep Blue of the iPhone 17 Pro. The “special” violet color, on the other hand, could address the criticism aimed at Apple’s Burgundy and offer something much brighter and more intriguing.
Regardless of the nuances, the S27 Ultra and the S27 Pro are rumored to come with a brand-new raised camera island on the back, which will be similar to the one on Apple’s Pro phones. Other rumors suggest that the Ultra may have a new 200MP sensor for the main camera, an improved 5x telephoto camera, and no 3x camera, alongside a bigger battery.
A lot of space for improvement
Samsung has proven time and time again that it can offer fun, bright, and unique colors for its phones, but never with its best model. I wouldn’t choose a lower-tier device just for the color, which is why I hope the Galaxy S27 Ultra finally offers something more interesting than washed-out blue.
