With the rollout of the One UI 9 almost done, it’s only natural to start looking for the beta of the upcoming One UI 9.5. We’ve seen signs of the upcoming software for the Galaxy S27 Ultra as far back as August, but it now appears some Galaxy S26 phones may join in on the fun.
One UI 9.5 beta build for the Galaxy S26 Ultra has been spotted online
The first beta build of One UI 9.5 for the Galaxy S26 Ultra was reportedly spotted on a test server. Tipster @Kailash0729 says in a post on X that Samsung has started testing the beta build for this year’s flagships, with the software spotted with firmware version S948BXXU6ZZK3/S948BOXM6ZZK3/S948BXXU6CZK3.
This will be the first firm evidence that the One UI 9.5 beta may be coming for the S26 series. The new software also comes with an updated version of the bootloader, moving from U5 to U6.

The only sign from Samsung that some new beta software might be coming was a changed banner in the Samsung Members app, so there’s no official date or even confirmation that there’ll be a beta program for One UI 9.5. However, considering the company is already testing the software internally, the beta program should follow sooner rather than later.
Hopes are that Samsung could start the program as soon as the end of this month, or in early December. This would match the launch of the One UI 8.5 beta last year, which started on December 8.

There’s still limited information about what the potential new features in One UI 9.5 might be. One of the most interesting rumors is about a customizable widgets feature, which could work like Google’s Gemini-powered Create My Widget option. There’s also a rumor about an app mirroring feature for Galaxy Books and a native app locking feature.
When will One UI 9.5 launch officially.
If there’s one certain thing about One UI 9.5, it’s that it’ll debut on the Galaxy S27 phones, which are expected in the beginning of next year. I’d really love for Samsung to launch the software for its older phones right away, but chances are that the upgrade for the S26 and other Galaxies will come months later.
