The big day has arrived for so many hardcore Samsung fans and foldable enthusiasts in general, and now that the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8 are finally official, it's time to make your decision.
Will you go for one of the three versatile new Android powerhouses or not? And if yes, will you try to be one of the first people in the world to own them or wait for retailers like Amazon to slash their admittedly high prices? How about the equally new and exciting Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2? Is this the right time to buy a new smartwatch, phone, tablet, or headphones?
I'm not going to claim to offer the definitive answers to all those questions for every single one of you, but I'll certainly try to make your life and your next mobile product buying decision easier in the following lines.
This week's top three deals are predictable... and predictably amazing
I know that Samsung doesn't appear to care much about clamshell-style foldables anymore, but I still think they have a future, so there was no way I would just ignore the Galaxy Z Flip 8 today.
In fact, there was no other acceptable option for me than to treat Samsung's latest additions to the Galaxy Z family equally, even though Amazon obviously doesn't, including a much more valuable gift card with the two costlier book-style models than the company's newest flip phone.
Still, I believe there's an audience for the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8, and regardless of your choice, the best pre-order deal (with no special requirements or strings attached) can currently be found on Amazon.
These other smartphone offers are not to be ignored either
Because I know not everyone is a fan of foldable devices (I'm actually still a slab devotee myself), I have a bunch of "normal" smartphone promotions to recommend as well, starting with the compact Pixel 10 and Galaxy S26 at $200 and $150 discounts, respectively.
The Pixel 10 Pro is also small, remarkably powerful, and somehow even more deeply discounted than its cheaper brother, while the Galaxy S25 Plus is curiously enough the only "conventional" jumbo-sized handset worth buying this week by a bargain hunter who understands the S26+ is just slightly better and yet considerably more expensive.
Circling back to foldables because, well, they're kind of the future of the mobile industry, the Razr Ultra (2025) and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold are very clearly your greatest alternatives to the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and the Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra, respectively, impressing not just with their affordability at their latest discounts but things like battery capacity, screen size, screen quality, and charging speeds as well. I'm actually this close to advising you to ignore Samsung's latest foldables... for the time being.
This is a lot of affordable tablets at unbeatable prices!
... and almost all of them come from a single brand... that's not Apple or Samsung. Lenovo is truly pulling off an achievement for the ages this week, selling all of its latest Android tablets (and an older model) at lower-than-ever prices no iPads or Galaxy Tabs can currently rival.
Yes, the 11-inch Idea Tab is an arguably better value proposition than the likes of the Galaxy Tab A11 Plus, while the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2, Idea Tab Pro Gen 2, and ThinkTab X11 clearly deliver superior bang for your buck (not to mention more unique selling points) than the Galaxy Tab S10 FE, Tab S10 FE Plus, iPad 11, and iPad Air (2206) duo.
Last but certainly not least, the Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 5 can be a smarter ultra-high-end option than the Galaxy Tab S11, Tab S11 Ultra, or iPad Pro (2025) family, especially for hardcore gamers... as long as you don't mind the compact 8.8-inch screen. Oh, and the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite is also here for the sake of diversity and for those of you who care more about long-term software support than processing power or RAM counts.
Looking for a good smartwatch at a great price? Here are six of them!
Now this is where making the right buying decision gets tricky. Because as awesome as the brand-new Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 undeniably look on paper, last year's Galaxy Watch 8 looks equally compelling at a massively reduced price.
Then you've got the Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Watch 4 to choose from if you're a hardcore Google fan... unwilling to wait for the Pixel Watch 5 or unimpressed by what's expected from the search giant's next big Apple Watch rival, and speaking of that, the Apple Watch Series 11 just so happens to be on sale at a hefty discount of its own, which could make many holdouts no longer wait for a Series 12 that's still largely shrouded in secrecy.
Discounted earbuds or headphones? Why not both?
I know that most people either prefer true wireless earbuds or larger over-ear headphones, but perhaps you can get the Sonos Ace for yourself and the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 FE for a loved one.
Or how about the AirPods Max 2 for your spouse and a pair of unpretentious but decidedly powerful and versatile Beats Studio Buds Plus for yourself? After all, these four products are certainly affordable enough today to allow for a bundle or even two that might seem a lot harder to complete on any other given Friday.
