Under the hood, you're looking at the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. No Elite, which will likely disappoint power users. But for the most part, this SoC isn't all that bad. It handles daily tasks, multitasking, and light gaming mostly smoothly, making it a great fit for your daily driver.

What about the price? The Razr Fold (2026) is actually a bit more affordable than Samsung's latest Z Fold 7. It sits at $1,899.99 and comes in a single configuration with 512GB of storage and 16GB RAM.
Camera-wise, the foldable Android phone is equipped with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP 3x zoom on the rear. While we'll have to do our in-house tests, the setup looks promising on paper.
Unlike other Motorola options, this model also gets up to seven years of Android and software updates. That's actually a first for Motorola, so it's indeed admirable that the brand is finally in tune with modern times.
Why I picked it: what I like the most about this foldable phone is its hefty battery. While it packs a 6,000mAh under the hood, this device is actually just 4.6mm thick. Plus, the battery charges super quickly, so topping it up for a full day's use won't take you too long.

On May 15, Motorola refreshed its Razr lineup, releasing the new Motorola Razr Ultra (2026). This device has a mostly similar design to its predecessor: a 4-inch OLED cover screen and a 7-inch main panel.
Similarly to last year, this Android phone features a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. Although it's no longer the most impressive Snapdragon chip, this model still delivers a great experience overall.

With its 50MP main camera and 50MP ultra-wide lens, this model should capture excellent images across the board. That said, we'll give our final verdict once we've tested its camera capabilities.
The phone ships with Android 16 out of the box and sadly comes with the same software support as its predecessor. That is, you're getting three years of major OS upgrades, plus four years of security patches.
Why I picked it: despite the incremental upgrades and the higher asking price (the 512GB model now costs $1,499.99), the Razr Ultra (2026) is my favorite flip phone. With its durable yet extremely stylish build, great overall performance, and highly customizable cover panel, it gives me everything I could need.

Another brand-new release is the Razr (2026). This option, just like the premium flip phone, is mostly unchanged from its predecessor. In other words, you get a 3.6-inch pOLED cover display and a 6.9-inch main panel, delivering pretty good visuals for the price.
The clamshell foldable is also equipped with a slightly more advanced MediaTek Dimensity 7450 chip, which brings slightly improved performance with daily tasks. On top of that, it features a larger battery: 4,800mAh compared to 4,500mAh on last year's model.
With Android 16 out of the gate and a 50MP main sensor, this phone is the whole package for first-time clamshell phone fans who want to try if this form factor is right for them without paying a hefty price. Then again, it's slightly pricier than last year's option, listed at $799.99.
Why I picked it: although I wouldn't say that the price increase is entirely justified, the Razr (2026) is still one of my favorite and relatively budget-friendly clamshell options. While it may not be a huge leap forward from the previous generation, the overall feel and quality is more than decent. Plus, it'll probably take just a few months until it goes on sale, so those who wait a bit may not even feel the price increase.

The recently released Moto G Power (2026) brings a new color, a slightly bigger battery, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i to the picture at an asking price of $299.99. The price remains $299.99, just like the previous model, and the same goes for the water and dust resistance. Just like the Moto G Power (2025), this phone comes with an IP68/IP69 rating, which still isn't too common among budget devices.
No improvements come on the display front, meaning you get a 6.8-inch LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. While that may not sound particularly exciting in 2026, it offers decent color calibration.
Under the hood, this device features a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip. This is a budget-grade processor, so you can't expect insane gaming or multitasking potential. Still, the Motorola option handles daily tasks mostly fine. Even better, it beats the Galaxy A17 on the raw performance front, making the phone a great pick for users on an ultra-tight budget.
Why I picked it: it's hard to defend Motorola's decision to keep the LCD screen when cheaper Samsung phones already come with an AMOLED display. But I still think this is one of the best sub-$300 phones on the market. With major improvements in battery life, this device is a great daily driver for those who don't really need much.

It doesn't come with many upgrades over last year's Moto G (2025). With a 6.7-inch display (no OLED) and 120Hz refresh rate, it delivers a decent viewing experience. The screen gets slightly brighter than the Galaxy A16, but you may still have legibility issues under the blazing sun.
Performance-wise, the Android phone handles daily tasks mostly OK. Just don't expect the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip to handle multitasking or gaming without issues. Arguably the main change here is the front camera. Compared to the previous model, the Moto G (2026) features a 32MP selfie sensor, delivering better-looking images.
