October 29th launch date leaked for the LG Nexus 4
The French media outlet also said that the phone will be released with wireless charging capabilities similar to the feature on the upcoming Nokia Lumia 920. The report also discussed Samsung's collaboration with Google on a high end Google Nexus tablet, something we told you about the other day. Additionally, the report mentioned LG's market share in France, which is slightly above 5% thanks to the LG Optimus L3, LG Optimus L5, LG Optimus L7 and LG Optimus L9.

i dont really know if this is a step up or a step down of the previous nexus phone...
i mean why LG?
why not sony? motorola? or ASUS again? or even samsung? (but kinda unfair that sammy and asus will have a nexus again)
for me LG still dont know how to combine the elegance of its phone, the hardware and the software!--LG phone looks good but the look is very plastic and the software isnt really nice!
why not sony? sony makes a good phone! durability and trust-worthy brand! but its like sony revolves around its world not to this world! they still haven't announce a quad core phone (but not neccessary, but as an android manufacturer they should)!! their device is sturdy and elegant! and who knows.. maybe sony will use sharp's new display (but i doubt that, bravia is great but i wish coring gorilla though) coz they are like in the same company that they form the japan display
why not Motorola? its not bias! they own morotola! android is free! and motorola still makes a good phone! best battery life and that kevlar back will be an awesome add-on to a nexus device!
why not samsung and asus again? they have great hardware and technology...
i wish google will swarm nexus devices before this year end!

Wow... first off, Galaxy phones aren't controlled by the manufacturer as far as the software goes. They are and always will be stock experiences. Second, LG hardware is just as good as any other companies. Third I, and a lot of others, happen to like the look of LG phones.

LG makes great phones. it's just they're shadowed by Samsung most if the time and that don't have a good record for updates. hardware is where they shine. they could make phones with good could quality too. LG hardware + nexus software = win.

As Eminem put it when he did a song with Nicki Minaj.
"Don't ask why bitch, ask why not?"

i am actually pointing out why not sony or motorola or asus, htc and samsung again and why LG?
a lot of people ask "why LG?" so i am just talking on behalf of them! and as my opinion too!

Well read up on rumors. There might be multiple Nexus devices. Google really wants to make Nexus a household name in the Android market. That all the new phones should run Nexus, and if the user chooses to, he can switch to the manufacturer UI. Basically they want Nexus to be more recognized.

I'm perfectly fine with LG making the Nexus because what plagued LG was their software UI. But with the Nexus, which has to strictly be just the stock Android, that takes away the only problem LG has. Hardware is by far the best out of all manufacturers in the mobile market for the longest time (think of the old times like the LG chocolate, LG shine, LG prada, and now with the LG Optimus G). Hardware, LG is the best in the game. Nexus stock will completely bring the whole package together. but 8GB storage with limited data plan..........? ehhhh.......not the best way to get the Google ecosystem running but maybe that's just to keep the cost at possibly another affordable range just like the galaxy nexus (~$400). and dat bottom bezel needs to run away......

I personally do not like the design language of LG phones... They are boring and uninspired imo but this one looks quite ok - I guess the similarities to Samsung phones comes from the Nexus design elements like rounded corners...
Anyways that bezel you're seeing is also screen since the Android buttons are onscreen buttons like with the GNEX. If you look closer you can see the that the lower half is darker... So the proportions (and especially the bezel) schould look normal when displaying content on the full screen.

I'm pretty sure the leaked photos with the lg nexus turned on still has a large bezel on the bottom.....

Surely depends on your definition of large, but the space between the lower end and the on screen button seems to be just right for my personal taste. With my girlfriend's SIII I accidentally use the capacitive buttons all the time while holdinh it in landscape - they are just too close to the edge for my taset...
Besides that slimmer bezels are definitely more sexy;-)

That image makes it look like a Galaxy S3 in design.

but what is it with all these random names?
Nexus One, S, Galaxy, (Nexus 7) and now Nexus 4 because it is the 4th.
See also HTC. Sony kind of got it a bit right. But also there it starts to get confusing.
I wonder how creators and designers in these million dollar companies dice out the names :D
A clear line would be nice. At least for Nexus Brand.

Wow a very great looking Nexus finally. Besides the first HTC nexus, this is a beauty.
