Huawei P10 specs revealed by a GFXBench benchmark test?

The Huawei P9 has been a big hit. With the dual 12MP Leica cameras on back, a powerful Kirin 955 chipset under the hood and 3GB of RAM inside, the company announced last week that it has sold 9 million units of the phone worldwide since its April launch. After hitting a home run with the P9, what does the manufacturer have up its sleeves with the sequel?

We might have a good clue about what to expect from the Huawei P10 thanks to the GFXBench benchmark test that the phone was put through. The results revealed that the P10 will carry a 5.5-inch screen with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. The Kirin 960 chipset is under the hood with an octa-core 2.3GHz CPU and the Mali G-71 GPU. 6GB of RAM is inside along with 256GB of native storage.

A 12MP rear-facing camera is included, although there is no indication that the phone will carry a dual-camera setup like the P9 does. An 8MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video chats, and Android 7.0 is pre-installed. With the Huawei P9 still selling well (three million units sold in the last two months), Huawei has no reason to rush out the P10. Most likely, we will see the next model in the series unveiled in late March or early April next year.

By the way, the model number listed on the test results, LON-L29 would seem to confirm that these specs are indeed for the Huawei P10. The current model, the Huawei P9, is model number LON-L19.

Thanks for sending this in!
