BlackBerry Z30 faces off against the Nokia Lumia 925, reveals some specs
BlackBerry has one last chance this year to make a good impression with its new BlackBerry 10 lineup, and that is with the BlackBerry Aristo Z30. This is the phone that BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins has been excited about for some time now, with a 5 inch Super AMOLED screen, 2GB of RAM and a 2880mAh battery. This will be the first BlackBerry handset with a screen that hits the 5 inch mark.

On Friday, a published report out of India shows the BlackBerry Aristo compared to the Nokia Lumia 925, and we can clearly see that in terms of size, the' Berry stands tall against one of the high-end Windows Phone flavored handsets. The BlackBerry model is said to be about the same size as the Samsung Galaxy S4, but with a better build quality.

With a November release expected, this is the phone that the Canadian OEM is hoping that Santa will be putting under the tree of every BlackBerry fan on Christmas Eve. Keep in mind though that the phone has yet to have been announced by the manufacturer, although we do expect some huge event for the unveiling, considering that this is the most powerful 'Berry ever.

So u get expandable memory sim card, smart cover, and better cases with a 2880mah battery you shouldn't have to change the battery during the day

I have a Note 2 and the battery won't last a day with heavy use. Mugen Power attach a 6400 mAh battery to the Note to make it last with heavy use.Blackberry should get onto Motorola - the battery experts.

thanks to the one who leaked this as it shows that lumia 925 (as its being compared to another phone )is a indeed handsome phone..truly elegant.
and i don't know how this z30/aristo will save the company (BB)...it has the same specs of the z10 but ...its on steroids and i don't think people want another Z10...they have to make something to make people want BB again and this phone won't do any help on that !!
instead of wasting their money on useless flagships and useless bb7 phones (9720) .....shouldn't they make something running bb10 but with the same price of lumia 520 ???

i get what you mean, nokia created lumia, with one of the most sexiest phone design and they focused so much on camera. truely it makes them a company to want. blackberry needs to do something like that to get itself out of trenches.

I'd prefer the 925 over the Z30.

Looks good, only minor complaint is the bezel is a little on the fat side. Will be keeping an eye out, love to see some reviews of this bad boy.

Probably not gonna happen anytime soon. Mr. Elop, CEO of Nokia, said several months ago they actually went to Google first but were refused concessions they needed so they went to Microsoft. If Google wanted Nokia then, they could have easily gotten Nokia to adopt Android exclusively. But I'm glad Google refused them because I love WP and I love Nokia.

I dunno, I actually prefer the look of the blackberry Z30, it's fresh and not just a bigger Z10.

Why the 925? Why not any other device.

I'm wondering too. Z30 will supposedly see the light of day in November, meaning it's vaporware at this point. The 925 is already out in the market since 2 months ago. They should compare Z30 with other vaporware like the Lumia Phablet quad-core 1080p GDR3 phones which are also rumored to come out in November. Note III is also vaporware at this point so they could also compare it to that. Since all these phones are non-existent to us for now, they could do prospective specs comparison. Unfortunately, the Z30 fails miserably spec-wise in comparison.

Allan F you are been so sarcastic.. the reason you bullish on the this upcoming phone is the fact it doesn't come with quadcore or octo-core as samsung likes to market it.. I use the blackberry Q10 and am typing this comment with it and all I can say is this phone is stupid fast, lag free and runs at a very steady pace.. the dualcore is faster than my galaxy note 2 which I want to sell out by all means.. I wish Americans can open their eyes is not all about the hardware the phones packs, is how it handles the operating system.

do ask yourself, what does the Z10 run all the time. Android is a more complicated OS. which is why its in SMARTphones. im getting Tired of hearing these lame lines anyways. Sell your Note 2 if u dont know how to maximize its use

Android is a "more complicated OS which is why it's in "SMARTphones". Please, the Z10 runs BB10 which is built on QNX. QNX is used to run cars and nuclear plants, Android runs phones and is known for lag and security issues. Quit being such a fanboy.

BB10 is by far the best OS on the planet. I just wish people would give it a try and they would see just how good it is. There is no lag or delay. It is super fast. It DOES NOT NEED A QUADCORE or OCTO-CORE. It will run circles around the other OS's. Samsung just puts it in there so people will buy it. So many people do not know that it is all about the code of the os. Question? Do some research and see how many lines of code android has, and then look how many lines of code BB10 has, then how many lines of code IOS has. That will answer your question why the quad core is needed in android.

Z30 with dualcore 1.7 Ghz Pro, GPU Quadcore + OS 10.2 is smoother, fluid-er - lag-less even compare to said octacore s4. Just tried leaks os. 10.2 on Z10 (less speck than Z30), this os is amazing stable, really smooth, even sideload Google Map 7.0.2 run soo smooth like native.

Don't mind him.. His saying smartphones as if he really knows what smartphones means. Blackberry is a Canadian company and Americans don't wanna see it rise again that's why all the reviewers just review trash.. people need to go out and try this OS is simply the best. Its not all about apps or number of cores is about productivity and how the OS handles task. I love my Q10 and don't see me ever going back to android.
