Today was supposed to be the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max's big day, but with the highly anticipated iPhone Duo only scheduled to go up for pre-order on October 16 and a "vanilla" iPhone 18 expected to be unveiled in the spring of 2027, Apple doesn't really seem capable of stealing a lot of attention away from Samsung's latest and greatest Android handsets.

At least as far as bargain hunters are concerned, devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and even the Galaxy S26 Plus are undeniably outshining the two costly new aforementioned iPhones this week.

If you're thinking of going on Amazon.com and purchasing one of Samsung's three new foldables... don't do it. That's because the device manufacturer itself is absolutely crushing the e-commerce giant's generosity with free credit added on top of the deepest outright Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8 discounts to date.

It's no wonder that the Z Fold 8 continues to sell like hotcakes even after Apple's long overdue iPhone Duo announcement, and if there's something that I find a little surprising about all those recent reports confirming the huge and steady global popularity of Samsung's first-ever wide foldable, it's that the Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8 don't seem to generate equally strong demand.

Yes, there's something for (almost) anyone on this latest list of tablet deals and steals, starting with the ultra-affordable Galaxy Tab A11 Plus, the only slightly costlier but considerably better Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 and Idea Tab Pro Gen 2, and ending with the ultra-high-end Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra.

The imminent arrival of the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra doesn't make those 2025-released Samsung flagships any less attractive right now (quite on the contrary), while the Galaxy Tab S10 FE, Tab S10 FE Plus, and iPad Air 11 (2026) are ideal for those of you who don't want to splash the cash... or settle for the most affordable devices in this category this week.

Still, I think my number one recommendation for most buyers remains the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2, which I almost can't believe continues to fetch 150 bucks less than usual with such impressive overall specifications and a stylus included in its regular (and reduced) price.
