Yesterday, we saw
the first photos of what looked like the
Meizu Pro 6 in two new (technically announced, but yet unreleased) colors – Rose Gold and Flame Red. It seems Meizu has announced the new colors in China and will be launching the two new variants on the 18th of July.
The two new models will only be available with 32 GB of internal memory. Other specs include MediaTek Helio X25, 4 GB of RAM, a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, and a 21 MP / 5 MP camera combo. The “regular” models (Dark Grey, Silver, and Gold) also come in 64 GB storage variants, but it seems Meizu will only be testing the waters with the two new finishes before it commits to offering them in larger memory options. Hey, they still have a microSD card slot for expansion options!
Price-wise, the two new variants fall in the ballpark of $380 — that's the same price as any of the other Pro 6 models. Now, getting one of these handsets may be a bit tricky. Importing a proper Meizu from a 3rd party retailer already involves a lot of patience and possible import taxes, and these two new color variants may be a bit limited in the beginning.
But hey, for those looks, they may be worth a headache or two.
