Summer is almost over, some of the year's most exciting mobile product launch events are in the rearview mirror, and on top of all that, the 2026 FIFA World Cup is starting to feel like a distant memory.

But because life must go on even after a series of such bitter disappointments, I'm here today to encourage you to make the most of whatever's left of your summer and turn the beginning of a new school year from a cause of depression to a triumph by marking the occasion with a new smartphone, tablet, smartwatch, or headphones purchase.

And if it seems like this might not be the ideal time for such an acquisition, take a look at the following lists of bargains and reconsider while you can.

Are this week's top three deals impossible to beat?

The same goes for the Surface Pro (2026), which you may not have paid much attention to when it was formally unveiled a couple of months ago. But now the 13-inch powerhouse undeniably deserves a top spot on a lot of back-to-school shopping lists, as well as our roundup of the best tablets money can buy in 2026.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is admittedly not a lot better than its predecessor, but that's more a testament to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold's quality than anything else. Probably the best foldable in the world is... not the most popular as well, costing significantly more than its wide sibling but also including a $350 Amazon gift card in its list price to seal the deal for some of the most demanding buyers out there. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is big, fast, and beautiful, shining among others in the photography department thanks to a primary 200MP rear-facing camera.

Would I like to see the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro XL, Pixel 11 Pro Fold, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra sold at outright discounts instead of alongside (admittedly useful) gifts? Absolutely. Will that (eventually) happen? Of course. But you're naive (to say the least) if you're expecting, for instance, two of the greatest foldable devices in the world right now to go $350 off list anytime soon.

So, yes, I'd strongly consider buying whichever of those devices fits my needs, desires, and budget best if I were you today and "settle" for a nice Amazon gift card as a deal sweetener.

Alternatively, you can always go for last year's Motorola Razr Plus or Razr Ultra at truly amazing discounts if you're a cash-strapped foldable buyer... who still believes in the flip's potential and functionality. And last but not necessarily least, you have the Galaxy A37, Galaxy A57, and Pixel 10a at nice discounts of between $75 and $100 battling for your heart and hard-earned money if you can't afford a higher-end Android.

As the name very clearly suggests, the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 is better and newer than the Lenovo Idea Tab, which is why it's also costlier. The Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 doesn't have a single selling point quite as impressive as a nine-speaker audio system, but its list of features lacks any obvious flaws, especially at a newly reduced price of 370 bucks. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, 13-inch screen with 3.5K resolution, 8GB RAM, 10,200mAh battery, 45W charging support, and four JBL speakers are all pretty much as great as they could be on a mid-range Android tablet like this.

The Galaxy Tab S10 Fan Edition is... not better than all those deeply discounted Lenovo mid-rangers from a hardware perspective, but Samsung's long-term software support makes the 10.9-incher definitely worth taking into consideration at a cool $100 discount. The IPS LCD screen is not bad, supporting 90Hz refresh rate technology, the Exynos 1580 processor is... also not bad, and the built-in S Pen is probably the number one selling point, especially at this newly reduced price.

Apple's 2026-released iPad Airs are unfortunately costlier than ever, but for what it's worth, Amazon is selling the 11-inch model at $100 off its recently increased list price. This obviously doesn't make the M4 powerhouse as affordable as it's ever been, but then again, that Apple M4 chip is pretty hard to beat at this price in today's tablet landscape.

Don't want to settle for an 11-inch screen and can't afford a 13-inch iPad Pro, especially after Apple's recent tablet price hikes? The 13-inch iPad Air (M4) can be a very smart buy for a lot of people at a nice $100 discount with a... not-too-bad Liquid Retina IPS LCD screen in tow, as well as excellent battery life and even better long-term software support.

I'm going to be totally honest with you. If I was looking for a new tablet today, I'd either go for the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 or the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2.

But that's just me, of course, and I can certainly understand if you feel a stronger attraction to the more powerful (and significantly costlier) 11 or 13-inch iPad Air (2026). The Galaxy Tab S10 FE, meanwhile, is probably this week's best option for hardcore Samsung fans and especially S Pen devotees.

Then you've got the Lenovo Yoga Tab (with a keyboard and stylus) for budget-conscious business professionals and students, and finally, the Lenovo Idea Tab as the number one ultra-affordable option for first-time or simply undemanding tablet users.

And what can you say about these killer smartwatch deals?

The Vivoactive 5 sits somewhere at the intersection between powerful smartwatches and modest activity trackers, borrowing its colorful AMOLED touchscreen from the former category and the up to 11-day battery life from the latter. The end result might be the best of both worlds, especially at a rare 38 percent Amazon discount in Slate and Ivory color options.

At first glance, the Galaxy Watch 9 doesn't look very different from its predecessor, which would make it a little costly. But Qualcomm's state-of-the-art Snapdragon Wear Elite processor is new, and even if you don't consider the super-advanced health monitoring skills of Samsung's latest non-rugged smartwatch (which you definitely should), it makes it worth it to at least consider a purchase right now with a $50 Amazon gift card bundled in.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is without a doubt Samsung's most impressive smartwatch yet, and with a $100 Amazon gift card included, it's not even that expensive. Not when you compare it to the Apple Watch Ultra 3, for instance, or when you consider its blazing fast chipset, top-notch durability, excellent battery life, and surprisingly sleek design (for a rugged timepiece).

Nothing much... apart from how great and diverse they are. Yes, you can find something in this group of deeply discounted timepieces with elegant designs and powerful capabilities whether you're an Android or iPhone aficionado (or even if you're not committed to any platform) and (almost) regardless of your budget.

The Garmin Vivoactive 5 is almost unbelievably affordable (especially when you consider those battery life claims), the Apple Watch Series 11 is incredibly hard to turn down (for an iPhone owner who understands the Series 12 will probably look virtually unchanged), and just like the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra, Samsung's equally new and impressive Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 are amazingly still on sale with their launch freebies (although likely not for much longer).

Can you also squeeze some headphones in your budget?

My top budget-friendly wireless earbuds recommendation this week comes from Apple but is not actually Apple-branded, which is actually good news for Android handset users in addition to iPhone owners.
