Description

2017 marks the iPhone's 10th anniversary, and Apple is rumored to be working on something special to commemorate the event. The iPhone 8 could be an ultra premium iPhone model that is to be announced alongside the iPhone 7s. Some say the phone will employ wireless charging, a dual main camera, and an OLED screen occuppying nearly all of the front side. All this could be housed inside a water-resistant body made of glass on the front and back, with a stainless steel frame holding it together. Needless to say, the phone will feature next-generation processor and hardware, including an Apple-made A11 SoC and up to 256 gigs of storage. If this rumored iPhone 8 is released, don't expect it to be cheap.

  • Technology:

Technology - There are two main screen technologies currently used in phones and tablets: LCD and AMOLED. The former usually features a light source and liquid crystals, while the latter is based on organic light-emitting diodes. Newer LCD variations like IPS-LCD and Super-LCD allow for very accurate color reproduction and very wide viewing angles, where no significant image quality loss is observed. Current AMOLED screens differ in such a way that they can exhibit much more saturated colors (sometimes too much) and incredibly high contrast levels, which is due to black color being completely black in AMOLED displays.
