Lenovo: Moto Z2 Play will feature a 3000 mAh battery
Although the Moto Z2 series of smartphones has not been announced, Lenovo confirmed its existence on Twitter. More exactly, answering a question from a fan, yesterday, Lenovo mentioned the Moto Z2 Play - an upcoming smartphone that should replace the original Moto Z Play (released last year).

The only thing that Lenovo revealed about the Moto Z2 Play is that the handset would come with a "non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery." This confirms a previous rumor, and means that the new battery will, sadly, be less capacious than the battery found inside the original Moto Z Play (a 3,510 mAh unit). Well, at least we're not talking about an even smaller battery.

According to previous reports, the Moto Z2 Play doesn't differ too much from its predecessor, but does offer improvement in almost all areas. It's said that the new handset sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display, featuring an octa-core Snapdragon 626 processor, 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of internal memory. The device should also come with a 12 MP rear camera with dual pixel auto focus, a redesigned fingerprint scanner, and compatibility with MotoMods.

Alongside the Moto Z2 Play, Lenovo and Motorola Mobility will likely also release a regular Moto Z2, as well as a Moto Z2 Force. All three smartphones should run Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box, and might be officially unveiled in early June.

Are you waiting for any of these new Moto handsets?
