The 2026 flip season is in its peak with the launch of Samsung's new Galaxy Z Flip 8, but how is the camera on the Flip 8 compared to the biggest rival, the Motorola Razr Ultra (2026)?
Both phones come with two main cameras, and if you follow flip phones, you probably already know that because of the limited space, these are not the biggest sensors or latest camera tech in existence.
But is one better than the other or are they really on the same level? We took a bunch of photos in real-world conditions to test that out.

Nothing particularly stands out in the chart. The 1/1.56" main camera sensor size is roughly the same as on the base iPhone, and much smaller than dedicated camera phones.
The ultra-wide camera is even less impressive with a small sensor on both phones, but here, the Motorola has a theoretical advantage with a slightly bigger sensor.
There is, sadly, no telephoto camera on any of these, so don't expect the best zoomed photos.
