Unannounced Asus ZenPad 7 and Asus ZenPad 8 leak before next month's expected unveiling
There has been speculation about a new tablet line coming from Asus called the ZenPad. With Intel inside, these slates are reportedly set to be unveiled at Commutex 2015 which will start on June 2nd. The Asus ZenPad 7 has two variations, both of which have been spotted on Russian online stores. The Z170C is a Wi-Fi only version priced at the equivalent of $159 USD. The Z170CG is a version of the tablet with 3G connectivity and will be priced at the equivalent of $181 USD.

The ZenPad 7 features a 7-inch screen with a 1024 x 600 resolution. Under the hood is Intel’s Atom x3 processor with 1GB of RAM inside. The tablet comes with 8GB/16GB of expandable memory, a 2MP camera on back and a 1.3MP shooter in front. A 3900mAh battery keeps the lights on, and the tablet is available in black (Z170C-1A013A) and white (Z170C-1B009A).

The Asus ZenPad 8 has passed through the FCC carrying its 8-inch display with a much higher 2048 x 1536 resolution. Model numbers for the two variations of this model are Z380KL and Z380C. We should see the Intel Atom Z3560 or Z3530 Moorefield CPU powering this tablet, which will have 2GB of RAM inside along with 8GB/16GB/32GB/64GB options for native storage.

Design-wise, the two tablets bear more than a passing resemblance to the Asus FonePad. The Asus ZenPad 7 and Asuis ZenPad 8 are both expected to be available for purchase starting in July.
