Snapseed coming to Tegra-powered Ice Cream Sandwich tablets, puts the magic of photo editing at your fingertips

Snapseed is a versatile photo editing app that iPhone and iPad owners have been enjoying for quite a while. And people seem to love it! As a matter of fact, the software has received so much positive feedback that Apple itself awarded Snapseed with the “iPad app of 2011” title.
Those who are fond of the Android platform might be feeling a bit envious because of all that, but today's news will put an end to those feelings. What news is that? Well, Nik Software, the company behind the app, announced that Snapseed will be made available on select Android devices. And by “select Android devices” we mean tablets running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 2 or Tegra 3 processor. Another requirement is that the tablet sports a resolution of 960 by 720 pixels or above.
Snapseed for Android is scheduled for an early 2012 launch and will cost $4.99 at the Android Market. Those of you who are interested in seeing what the app can do are free to visit its official web page for demonstration, or can simply check out the video below.
