Just yesterday, we told you about some guy who went on Craig's List and bought a Nokia Lumia 920 that was loaded up with the GDR3 update from Microsoft and the "Bittersweet shimmer" update from Nokia. The owner of the phone, hiding behind a mask, showed off a couple of the update's features in a video. The first showed how email and text messages can appear on the Glance screen. This is the screen that shows the 'always on' clock.

Another feature displayed on the video is the one that allows multitaskers to close an app by clicking on an "X" at the top right of the screen. The update, expected in November, will allow future Windows Phone models to be powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processors and to carry screens with 1080 x 1920, FHD resolution.

Hey Microsoft, did you heard about stuff like system file management, folders, notification/quick toggle trays, wallpapers, USB OTG functionality...swiping to the right??

I've used this OS for a while and it seriously made me feel bad. Like being cramped into a lifeless chamber

Sounds like you want android, this is WP and you know what you are getting. Its like going to a fish restaurant and complaining about the steak.

I have android, thank you.
Was simply trying out windows phone to see if I can start liking and appreciating it.
While I learned that there are some positives to the OS, and that it does have a serious potential, that is all easily negated by all restrictions and flaws

I bought mine just for Nokia. Now, since its going to disappear, next will be an Android or iOS device. Or the Nokia 1020, for the hardware and that stunning camera.

Why did you leave in the first place? Seems to me the best way to buy a phone is based off what it can do, not what it might be able to do or what you want it to do in the future.

This is more than likely testing software, not GDR3 (codes in the "Extras and Info" screenshot are older than the ones currently on Amber. eg Nokia First use experience, feedback to Nokia)

I really wish bloggers would stop posting crap

Whats the point? MS anyway killed Nokia. Without Nokia WP will be dead.

Microsoft intentionally wrecked Q3 on Nokia's behalf by sending consumers the message: Don't bother buying Lumias, Nokia is history. Move on, folks. Nothing to see here. :)

Same design team with better software developers - sounds like a plus to me. Personally I'm excited about what MS will bring to the table

In which universe??
You really think people will buy Microsoft branded phones like they were buying Nokia??

That's simply laughable and idiotic to ever hope for.
Nokia was THE brand when you think about phones - known to even the bushmen from African plains, for example.
The whole world knew what a Nokia phone is.
Microsoft??
Dead on arrival.
It can never even remotely reach such brand recognition as a smartphone manufacturer.

Was offered a new Microsoft RT 32G from Microsoft at half the retail price, i was very excited at first but when i drive into my research mode... all the information tell me to stay away and keep my money for something better....

A total of 289 apps is really bad and the upcoming RT2 show that microsoft is planning to abandon RT1 soon.

As for movie codec the lack of MKV and RM is a downgrade from my android tablet.

Browsing no flash... no big deal but my android tablet has it.

fandroids on this site behave like ignorant twelve year olds that depend on their mom to buy them everything

this is not a android 4.0 to 4.1 shift... it is more of a 4.1 to 4.2 better yet more like 4.2 to 4.2.2

4.3 to 4.4 is the upcoming wp8.1.... it isnt released yet

for now MS just wants to add missing but necessary features to their software with minor updates like google did with their missing december debacle
