Samsung Galaxy Home release could be right around the corner, at least in Korea
While Apple may or may not be looking to unveil a HomePod sequel of some sort alongside a new iPad Pro duo next week (probably not), Samsung is most definitely planning to release the premium Galaxy Home smart speaker soon.

The first such device to interact with Bixby rather than Siri, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Cortana for voice commands around the house was formally (and vaguely) announced at the Galaxy Note 9 launch event back in early August.

Since then, all we heard about the Samsung Galaxy Home was that it targeted the US, China, and Korea for a limited commercial debut... someday. That day could arrive sooner than you think, as a “small-output wireless device” carrying model number SM-V510 was certified in the company’s homeland earlier today.

The technical approval of Korea’s National Radio Research Agency means the Galaxy Home, which is most certainly what’s hiding under that label, could regionally see daylight any day now.

The fact the Bixby-powered smart home device hasn’t been seen obtaining a similar certification from the Federal Communications Commission also suggests its US release may happen a little further down the line.

Either way, Samsung has pretty much confirmed it plans to fully detail the Galaxy Home at a Developer Conference in San Francisco in early November, when the world’s first foldable smartphone is expected to be showcased in all its glory as well.
