T-Mobile this week started rolling out a software update to its LG V20. While the update does not change the Android version that the phone is running (it's still 7.0 Nougat), it is a pretty substantial release that weighs in at 583 MB.
According to the screenshots that can be seen below, this new update brings Android Pay improvements to T-Mobile's V20, plus an "Audio Quality" patch, Android Security updates (including Google's December security patch), and various other fixes. The update is an over the air one, so it's being rolled out in phases - not everyone is getting it right away.
Launched in the US in late October, the LG V20 was the world's first handset to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Now, however, the phone is still running 7.0 Nougat - as already mentioned - while Google's Pixel and Nexus handsets are running the newer 7.1 version of Nougat. Nevertheless, we expect LG (and all US carriers) to update the V20 to Android 7.1 in the near future.
