Samsung Project J could bring us three devices: Galaxy S IV with wireless charging, S IV mini and... a smartwatch
So basically, we can assume the Galaxy S IV would get released as the Samsung GT-I9500, if those rumors are to be believed. So far so good, looking back at things you’d logically assume the Galaxy S IV was also Project J.
And while that may be true, a leaked list of accessories suggests Project J is not just one device, but actually consists of three devices. And the Samsung Galaxy S IV is only one of those three. And while it is the most anticipated one, the other two might prove equally interesting.
But before we continue with those, let’s see what the leaked list of accessories for the Project J Altius (aka the Galaxy S IV) reveals. Apart from the covers and pouches, we have a 2,600mAh battery as an accessory. That is likely a replacement battery and we can assume the S IV will launch with 2,600mAh battery as well.
Next comes a wireless charging kit, so one could also think the S IV is getting wireless charging capabilities built in.
Moving on to the next on the Project J list is the J Mini Serrano, which could well turn out to be a Samsung Galaxy S IV mini of a kind judging by the three covers listed for it.
Finally, we have probably the most exciting piece of news. Samsung might be working on a smartwatch under the Project J Active Fortius codename. That is something strongly suggested by the accessories for the mysterious device - an arm band and a bike mount. Take a look at all the leaked accessories, obtained by Sammobile and let us know what you think about those upcoming gadgets.
Project J Altius:
- Clear Cover
- Flip Cover
- Protective Cover
- Extra Battery Kit
- Battery 2600 mah
- Wireless Charging Kit
- HDTV Adapter
Project J Mini Serrano:
- Clear Cover
- Flip Cover
- Protective Cover
Project J Active Fortius:
- Arm Band
- Bike Mount

I absolutely loved the GSIII....My cousin let me use hers for a good while. At first it was strange moving to this from a One X...Especially the web browser. My main issue was that fact that when I scrolled up on the One X, the adress par would pop up and I wouldn't have to scroll alllll the way to the top to key in a website. But it's a small gripe....They only thing I could imagine they fix with the GSIV is the design...the GSIII wasn't a visually appealing handset to me, which is just my opinion. However, I've been one of functionality over fashion as of lately....
I want to be wowed Samsung....!!!!!!!
Does anyone else wonder what software goodies this phone will have?

Welcome to the Samsung Family of Smart Features... Who knows what all is next with the SIV, but it'll have the most of whats offered elsewhere. Me personal i'm waiting on the Note III. :)

me, I like how the rumor regarding s4 is building up and hates the note 3 rumors. 6-6.3" for a screen is too big enough, yet if they managed to fit it to a size of the present gnote2 then it would be cool.

Im was very surprised by the SIII. I wanted the Note II, but its too expensive. Ive had it since December, and I can honestly say that I dont miss not having the Note II that much. The S IV and Note III will be 2 phones that everyone would want, but they'll be too high for me.
Lets see how big these phones will be. The only way that Im going to get one of those 2 phones will be if theres something NEW that the S3 isnt able to do

What I assume based on the accessories mentioned above:
2600mah battery - Very thin GS4 ..Could be thinner than ip5
SD card slot, removable battery - Of course
Arm Band - Galaxy Skin with basic function and features(watch, music and radio etc)
10. raunak (Posts: 507; Member since: 12 Oct 2011)
i dont its going to be thinner than iphone5
14. MrJerry (Posts: 403; Member since: 05 Oct 2012)
Maybe or not
But i guess it will be thinner than GS3 somewhat and GS3 is still quite thin phone.
I dont really mind to have thick(relatively) phone as long as battery has big capacity but the mass love thin phone so GS4 must be the thin kind

I would not care if its thinne than the iPhone. That is an irrelevant requirement. Beyond that, those specs would be appetizing.

all these phones this year will have almost the same hard ware specs , but its what software tricks these phones have up their sleeves will prove the deciding factor ..... hence samsung has already established that lead .....

smart watch is good option to increase popularity of S4 very high.....bringvthem on...
6. raunak (Posts: 507; Member since: 12 Oct 2011)
this is getting interesting... apple is also thinking about smartwatches.
Lets see who wins. My bet is with apple because watches will need to be simplistic in both design and interface. Samsung GS4 is going to be better than iPhone 5s,6,6s and 7 though if apple doesnt change their interface.

A smart watch with their youm curved glass thingy would be awesome!
9. raunak (Posts: 507; Member since: 12 Oct 2011)
i think you mean bendable... and yes, it almost feels obvious that they are going to use those screens.

A bit worried about the battery with that large screen & A15-power, I'd gladly sacrifice a mm to get 3500mAh.
Also, why don't they unify the back plate and battery, one large thin module holding 4000mAh you can detach to get to the SIM & SD slot with space left on top for camera & NFC. There's a lotta plastic around the battery bed plus there's the battery's own cover and the back cover. Lotsa space to be saved if one half of the phone is screen, HW, chops and slots, and the other think half is a battery-backplate.

one important question,
which one of those accessories are in the box, which must be bought separately??

Samsung is just keep copying other company like apple sony htc etc
But what about the material used?
I used to have s3 but after 150 days is gone and I could not repaire it
Go 2 hell samsung

Companies including Apple are following Samsung making phablets and smaller tablets.
23. rusticguy (Posts: 2828; Member since: 11 Aug 2012)
You forgot ... could be plastic phones too :D
17. techguy22 (Posts: 227; Member since: 09 Aug 2012)
love my S3 as well. cant wait to dump it for that 1080P screen; wanted droid DNA, almost bought it many occasion but gonna wait for S4 instead.
18. MistB (Posts: 581; Member since: 07 Jul 2012)
Told ya the S4 Mini was coming, the screen is being touted as a 720p display, so we could finally see a worthy IP5 rival in the smaller segment. I just hope Samsung treat the S4 Mini like a top tier phone based off it's bigger brother and at least load it with Exynos 5 Dual or 5440 Quad.

Another copycat project from the Typical Korean, SmartWatch which Sony has already has it for some time. Overclock S4 and I can say good luck that it will suffer the same fate as your S3 with power draining issue as your software skills sucks all time. How good your processor can be but when it is dropped into the water, it is a piece of junk.
20. MistB (Posts: 581; Member since: 07 Jul 2012)
But Apple are doing an IWatch too are they not, also the Togari itself os a rival to the Note 3 in a segment whilst not made by Samsung, helped popularised by it. You telling me that smart watches aren't allowed by other Japanese manufacturers too or is it just Korean bashing this and other blogs have become very notorious for? It's become all too fashionable to pit blame on Korean companies that are all-too-often accused of copying despite the fact that what they're accused of "copying" are things with hardpoints that reduce the amount of creativity that can be used without lessening functionality (cars, buildings, smartphones). EG: Korean designs are called out for looking like everything else when, in fact, everything looks like everything else.

Yeah wat bout the dumb fruit apple patent for a crappy iwatch? Sony may done it first but u dont see them patent b.s. excuse just too sue someone . Theres no law that another company can make a same product. Take your troll else where
32. kclgphilsbsa (Posts: 765; Member since: 21 Jan 2013)
woooohhh, the trend cant be broken..
whenever Samsung releases a gadget which other manufacturers already has , then Sammy is again a copycat.. duhh? anyway Sony also got that idea from others, before Sony smartwatch, there are plenty of smartwatch out there like the I'm Watch..
..every product out there like appliances, there is someone who invented it, but the market needs choices!

and sony are making a 6'' phablet so your point is what exactly and sony were not the 1st to come up with a smart watch lol just do simple google search and you would see that...my brother has the xperia s and it has the most dullest and choppiest skin of them all...oh yeah am sure millions of people drop there phone in water...what fate are you on about the s3 lasts me a day easy and battery test have shown it to better than any of sonys phones and good luck not smashing the z that is 90% glass and none of that its gorilla glass cause guess what gorilla glass smashes what good is water proof if its cracked..

This year Samsung will be beaten by Sony...
The Xperia z will rule and finally will bring to android users some style...
28. erdpov (Posts: 67; Member since: 07 Dec 2012)
I wish you're right. But the truth is the opposite. Sony is far from beating Sammy. I feel sad about that.
29. MistB (Posts: 581; Member since: 07 Jul 2012)
Just wait for the Playstation 4, when that has compatibility with Android handsets and with it's new phablet and if the Xperia Z will get a KLP update this year, then we're talking. Otherwise it's just a pipe dream. Remember when they said the Droid DNA would be the flagship for the first half of this year, people seem to be forgetting that OEMs don't stick to one model per year, they have to release a myriad of top end phones to appease the quarterly growth or face a drop in stock. Samsung isn't just relying on it's S Series flagship, they have the note and possibly the new B series to stay competitive. Apple's starting to see the effects of that too.

i dont think people need phones to go swimming with them, neither putting them into dust as any high end device owner i believe is somebody not of this type of activites, so the waterproof and dust is not that crucial to make people buy the phone pal
33. kclgphilsbsa (Posts: 765; Member since: 21 Jan 2013)
haha some style? lol
what style? whats style that is new with Xperia Z??
so far, fun ANDROID styles came from and only utilize by Samsung..
The touchwiz capabilities with interesting gimmicks but somewhat useful and fun and the SPEN that changed something big in the world of android :D
these are styles and they keep from increasing whenever sammy releases its new flagships :D
ur such a funny guy haha

I think this will be a great phone (S IV) to use my upgrade on (9/11/2013), even though I do have the S III. Looking forward to see what kind of things this year will bring.
