Now there's an SNES emulator for Windows Phone 8

About a month after the Snes8x app was released for Windows RT and 8 Pro, a Windows Phone 8 variant of the Super Nintendo emulator has been made available as well. The app landed yesterday at the Marketplace and it even comes bundled with a homebrew game you can run to make sure everything is working. Finding additional SNES ROMs, however, is up to you, but a quick Google search should do the trick.
Snes8x for Windows Phone 8 runs well, judging by user comments, and all screen resolutions are supported. Unfortunately, the emulator isn't compatible with Windows Phone 7.8, but hey, think of it as another reason you should consider upgrading to something newer. Oh, and before we forget, loading whatever ROMs you may have is a bit of a ritual, but doesn't require much technical know-how. You are required to load them via SkyDrive, but once they are in the database, launching one should be pretty straightforward.
Snes8x is available for free on the Windows Phone Marketplace and you can download it from the link below.

Sweet! And now people can see why WP8 OS has some useful advantages for easy ports by developers, as it shares some of the same API's used by it's WP8 desktop/laptop & RT tablet cousins.
Also, who can argue with quality 8bit sound and sprite driven graphics? You have to love retro blasts from the past :o`
