The Nokia 808 Pureview with its 41MP camera
Nokia photo guru Damian Dinning, who was the man behind the 12MP camera on the
Nokia N8, the 41MP camera on the
Nokia 808 PureView and the PureView camera on the
Nokia Lumia 920, is leaving the Finnish handset manufacturer. Luckily for Nokia, Dinning is not heading to a competitor but is moving on to
Jaguar Land Rover, which is pretty much not a company that Nokia CEO Stephen Elop is going to worry about.
As it turns out, besides his passion for photography, Dinning has a thing for cars which is great since he will be "
driving future innovations in the exciting new field of Connected Car" at Jaguar. With Nokia's decision to move all of its strategic roles to Finland , the U.K. based Dinning decided not to make the move. But to stop Nokia fans from worrying about the future of the company, he made it a point to say that the success that Nokia has with its imaging has been a
team effort and not the work of just one man.
Whether or not Nokia does succeed in turning things around, Dinning has left his mark on the smartphone world and it is said that
Nokia handsets through 2013 will feature his contributions.
