Today is (at least in theory) Apple's big day. But in spite of a nearly ten-year wait from some people and Cupertino's greatest buzz-building efforts these last few weeks, the inescapable reality is that the iPhone Duo isn't going to sell in that many units... for a multitude of reasons.

And one of the main reasons is some holiday shoppers this year simply have their sights set on other devices. Coincidentally or not, many of those devices are available at very compelling discounts just as the iPhone Duo is going up for pre-order at its... not-low prices, and surprisingly or not, two of the Apple foldable's direct rivals are among the top three mobile tech deals you can get right now.

Of course, that's not all I can recommend bargain hunters to consider at the end of this week, so without further ado, let's take a look at the best phones, tablets, and smartwatches available at reduced prices today.

Samsung's flagships are once again in the spotlight

And once again, I find myself compelled to preemptively reject any Samsung "fanboy" accusations you might feel inclined to throw at me. It's never my intention to favor any brand in these week-ending deals roundups (quite the opposite), but as much as I always want to spread the love, sometimes that's just not possible and it simply wouldn't be fair.

Not when the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra are so objectively impressive in so many different departments, from screen quality to overall performance, camera capabilities, and battery life.

Granted, all three of these Android giants with state-of-the-art specs and unrivaled software support policies have been on sale at lower prices than right now in the recent past, but you can never know when (or if) those deals will come back, so you might not want to miss the latest opportunities to save between $350 and $400 (all in all) with no trade-in required or any other strings attached.

Maybe the Motorola Razr Ultra (2025) is not technically a direct iPhone Duo or Galaxy Z Fold 8 rival. But at an incredible $700 discount in a top-of-the-line 1TB storage variant with an additional $100-worth gift also included, the powerful and sophisticated flip phone should definitely headline a bunch of early holiday shopping lists, closely followed by the Galaxy Z Flip 8 (at a much smaller but also pretty interesting discount) and the book-style Razr Fold (at a smaller but rare discount of its own).

Don't like foldables or simply can't afford them right now (not even last year's Razr Ultra)? Then why not go for a decidedly unorthodox-looking Nothing Phone (3) at $150 off its list price or an admittedly underwhelming Galaxy S26 FE at a $100 discount that makes it... pretty "whelming"?

Of course, hard decisions are not always a bad thing, and picking between an extremely well-rounded Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 mid-ranger at a killer $130 discount and a TCL Tab A1 Plus NXTPAPER with unrivaled screen technology at $100 off its list price actually sounds pretty fun.

Another win-win situation is probably the choice between the smaller and more affordable Lenovo Yoga Tab Gen 2 high-ender and the larger Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 powerhouse at a heftier discount, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Surface Pro (2026) deals above are clearly not for everyone. Granted, it would have been better from a diversity standpoint to also have the likes of the Apple Watch Series 12, Samsung Galaxy Watch 9, or Pixel Watch 5 on this list this week, but you clearly can't have it all... after Prime Day and before Black Friday, anyway.
