Pixel smartphones and other gear are available from Google on a monthly installment plan

While Google's new Pixel smartphones are priced higher than the company's older Nexus handsets, financing remains an option. The Pixel, Pixel XL, and related devices such as the Pixel C tablet and the Chromecast can be bought from Google's online store on an installment plan – an option for every purchase of more than $150. The deal is a standard zero-interest monthly payment plan, which gets broken down as follows.

If you place a purchase between $149 and $299, you'll have six months to pay, while purchases higher than $299 will get you 12 months time – unless you buy a Pixel or Pixel XL, in which case you'll have 24 months. Of course, these price thresholds can be reached if you buy multiple units of the same items – loading up on Chromecasts and Daydream viewer headsets, for example.

So, there you have it – if paying $650 upfront doesn't suit you, you can take advantage of Google's financing.
