You want to congratulate your friend that is in a same sex relationship? Message blocked!Take a picture of someone Cupertino find repulsive, an obese person? Photo blocked. Or even better... Photo gets tagged with the phrase "Unhealthy person" and on a system level becomes unsharable. Say something bad about Trump or a profanity to someone, maybe both in the same sentence? Voice censored. Beeeeep.

So the Apple dominance didn't last long.

This latest global smartphone market report puts Samsung first and Apple second in Q1 2026 sales
This latest global smartphone market report puts Samsung first and Apple second in Q1 2026 sales

The Grok incident isn’t the real story. The real story is that Apple has built a system where they can quietly decide what over a billion people are allowed to access, think, see or say — and they can do it without anyone noticing. If Apple can secretly pressure an AI app today, what stops them from going further tomorrow?Hypothetically, with literally zero effort Apple could: – block all websites they want to block for whatever reason, eg block users from finding abortion clinics– block you from navigating to certain locations using Maps. Let's say an abortion clinic.– prevent users from sending or receiving messages containing certain “sensitive” words, Sensitive for a 90 year old conservative person.– censor profanity, live, in phone calls using on‑device speech analysis,– shut down apps that compete with Apple’s own services,– block VPNs, news sources, or political content whenever it becomes inconvenient or a random government requests it,– or remotely restrict features like AirDrop, camera use, or browser access. Eg if you want to demonstrate about something. For lulz let's say you want to demonstrate about Apple having too much power - they already have enough power to completely shut you down from doing that.Apple already removes apps and blocks information at government request, over 1,300 takedowns in China in 2024, so the infrastructure for large‑scale control is already in place. The question isn’t whether Apple threatened Grok. The question is why we’re okay with a private company having this much unchecked power over what people can do, see, say, hear or install on their own paid for devices."Privacy. That’s Apple — until your phone call includes a flagged phrase, your AirDrop sends the wrong file, or you say something Cupertino finds inconvenient.”

Samsung Galaxy Express Prime

The Samsung J5 for me was one of those sporadic let me support this brand purchases I made after my iPhone 6 Gold was stolen and like anyone it happens so sudden so your not prepared to splurge again for another top of the tier phone. My first impressions where it was just for now because compared to today the keyboard struggled with my speed of typing. It was almost like the phone was gasping for air it was embarrassing to even text on the device. Sometimes you'd be able to get your point across and other times you'd give up because it will just freeze up and decide your never going to send this message. I would like to appreciate the brand for working on the issue and accommodating people who type incredibly fast like me. Half of the time I couldn't do anything even watching YouTube proved to be a roller fest. The good side is how tough the glass was because I actually dropped it and also it got ran over by a car and it survived without a huge gap and ink pour. Great phone it just needed more Ram for it to be functional.

Apple iPhone 11

The Apple IPhone 11 for me was a small powerhouse of infinite capabilities. I made music with it, wrote long essays on it and drafted a few songs on this well made tool. The initial software when I bought it was stable, watching videos on it was enjoyable despite the lack of a dynamic island. The only downside is when you get a crack on the screen the the phone heats up faster which can make just resting it on your skin burn you. The rays emitted from a little crack definitely gave me retina burn but the phone still functioned from day one. I use a Samsung now and I am very loyal to both brands but I must admit that both companies are the best in the world great at what they do differently. My iPhone and I only had issues with a software update which compromised the ability to purchase things at stores without being interrupted by network hacking and failures. That was when I jumped ship, you'll enjoy this retro if you ever go back to it but please make sure you don't update it. Lastly I was able to edit my music on YouTube live and get paid for it too but like I said with the updates meant sometimes I would hear the ding but the money would vanish. Prior to the update everything went fine.

OnePlus 15

Way better than Apple, Google and Samsung. Battery lasts all day! Would have bought Oppo Find x9 ultra if new it was coming. That's the best smartphone on the planet! It's a shame that OnePlus fading out it was great in its time!
