There are always the skeptics out there who won't believe anything you tell them. Just in case there are some skeptics out there who aren't convinced that Samsung is about to deliver a device called the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, here is the proof directly from the company. It seems that Samsung Philippines is running a contest with the winner getting a chance to see a local version of the manufacturer's Unpacked event. During the Unpacked event in New York City on August 13th, Samsung is expected to unveil both the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

On the Samsung Philippines site the other day, were rules on how to enter the contest, and one heading was called "Samsung S6 Edge Plus Registration." Perhaps for most people, the issue was settled long ago with certification of the device and name in Singapore. Still, for those who see a conspiracy around every corner, you can rest easy knowing that a handset with the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus name is on the way.

According to a store in the Middle East (the Jarir Store to be precise), the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will feature a 5.7-inch 1440 x 2560 resolution Super AMOLED screen. Under the hood is the Exynos 7420 SoC. 4GB of RAM is inside, along with 32GB/64GB of native storage. A 16MP camera graces the back of the unit with a 5MP front-facing snapper ready to shoot selfies. Powering the handset is a 3000mAh battery and Android 5.1.1 is pre-installed. The phone measures 6.9mm thick and weighs in at 156 grams. It will be offered in black and gold.

Yes, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is coming and even the most skeptical cynic in the world doesn't have to wait until the August 13th Unpacked event to believe it.
