The puzzle spells out words like Faster, New, Sound, HiFi, Bigger, Lighter, Note S, Glass, Money and Larger. The phone is rumored to be priced in the neighborhood of $145-$160. That would be quite a neighborhood for a phone featuring these specs. This includes the expected 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. The handset is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 CPU, or the MediaTek MT6752 processor. 2GB of RAM is expected to be on board along with 16GB of native storage. The back and front-facing cameras weigh in at 13MP and 5MP respectively, and a 3100mAh battery keeps the lights on. Android 4.4 is pre-installed with MIUI 6 running on top. The rumored curved glass back for the device is said to be protected by Gorilla Glass.
Another teaser released by Xiaomi appears to show a pair of hands in the classic smartphone grip position as approved by Steve Jobs for the Apple iPhone 4. That would seem to confirm that Xiaomi will introduce a pair of handsets on January 15th. It could be that one device will be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 and perhaps the other will be either the Xiaomi Mi4S or Xiaomi Mi5. January 15th draws nearer. Stay tuned!
Thanks for the tip!
