Update to Ovi Maps adds 2 million kilometers of road[ads right
Ovi Maps has been updated to version 3.04 which adds an impressive 2 million kilometers of road to the application. While you might never find yourself in many of these places, Ovi Maps can now help you navigate in Iceland, the Azores and in Kenya. 77 countries are covered in 46 languages, so no matter where you are and where you are going, you should be able to get help. Extra information has been added on 25 million points of interest and 281 3D landmarks are now included in the service. OviMaps includes NAVTEQ and yellow page info to help you get a phone number and Qype offers travelers' reviews on hotels, restaurants, shops and bars. As far as technical improvements are concerned, this version of Ovi Maps can pinpoint your location in low signal areas more precisely and faster as well, thanks to an improvement in the Wi-Fi technology. Free car kits are now given out to those buying phones like the the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, 5800 Navigation Edition, N97, N97 mini, E52, E72, 5230, 6710 Navigator, and the Nokia X6, which makes things easier to use right out of the box. The new upgrade is available at www.Nokia.com/maps. The video below shows some of Ovi Maps features in an earlier build, running on the upcoming Nokia N8.
