The leaked T-Mobile G2 ROM the other day was a treasure trove of findings about the yet unreleased handset. Now some skillful chap has ported the ROM over, so as to display what seems to be a pretty stock Froyo interface with a bundle of T-Mobile carrier apps.

What seems to be the biggest novelty is a new Google Voice widget, which can show your shoddily transcribed voicemail messages right on your homescreen, if that's your thing. Reports, however, are showing that when ported over Sense UI ROMs, the phone dialer doesn't work. This might really ruin it for you, so better off wait for the real deal come end of September.

Got my "mytouch" like last April and I'm seriously regretting it now that this has surfaced. Oh well I'll just wait out the next 1 1/2 years and and even better phone will be out anyway but I really like the design of this phone. Wish the keyboard was bigger however because it looks like it'll be a little unbalanced when you start to type. Hopefully though they'll stick with the "black, white, and copper" scheme that they had with the G1 I think this phone would look even better in white.

Just go on xda-developers, you can download the G2 rom for the mytouch. Works pretty good but not perfect
