Production problems to limit iPad production to 300,000 units in March?
Canadian brokerage firm Canaccord Adams has suggested that production problems at contract manufacturer Foxconn is holding back production of the iPad (and no smarty, it isn't due to a lack of milk and cookies at Foxconn). According to a report from analyst Peter Misek, Apple had hoped to have 1 million Wi-Fi enabled iPads available this month. The Wi-Fi/3G models are not expected until April. The report cites problems that Foxconn is having with the strength of the glass touchscreen, but Apple will not confirm this. If production slows down enough, the launch of the iPad could be delayed to ensure enough stock is ready when it finally does get released.
