Helio Ocean 2 for sale online starting February 12th
When Virgin Mobile USA bought out Helio, it looked like the end of the line for the quirky Helio Ocean. But just like the way Jason pops up in those Friday the 13th movies after being shot, stabbed, set on fire, and buried alive, the Helio Ocean has returned, very much alive and very powerful. In fact, on Thursday the 12th of February (one day before, well, you know), Virgin Mobile USA will start taking on-line orders for the Ocean 2 and you need to check under the hood! Virgin is playing up the features as a way to stay connected to your social networks. Running on 3G, the Ocean 2 will feature full HTML browsing with tabs, GPS, and one click connectivity to many social networking sites like Facebook. Running on EV-DO Rev. 0, the unit also includes a 2MP camera, a 2.6 inch inch screen, and is expected to list for $149.99 with a new two year contract with Virgin Mobile USA. Not bad for a cellphone that was considered dead and buried.

It looks like a good phone! The Ocean was great for its time especially having came out before the iPhone, I'm looking forward to the Ocean 2.
