In the US, the big thieves like Apple and ATT should be treated by the qiuet US consumers in this way. (I mean the fire extinguisher part is not good, but those BS advertisments should be taken down)

people do stupid things. I once watched a guy get so pissed because he got his phone wet (by toilet) and VZW would not give him a free replacement. He literally started yelling and smashing his phone on the counter because he didnt have insurance, took it outside and threw it in the street where he hit a car window, which made the car crash. He got his ass hauled off to jail and got to pay for aaaaaall the damages.

i was about 5 ft away from it when it happened. It was like my 3rd week on my job. I just whispered "is this normal????" lol
VZW customers can be extremely demanding. They know they are paying a premium for the service so they want everything handed to them.. and some can be extremely childish. I can count.. probably 5 phones that various customers have thrown at sales/service reps in anger. Probably half a dozen times the cops were called or the panic buttons hit.. oh yea.. people get crazy when their phones dont work. The best is always when they destroy/lose/drop phone in toilet, and they scream at US because we dont have their contacts. When you ask them "have you backed your contacts up to your PC or made sure it was syncing?" they get even more mad because they realize its their fault. Personal responsibility, people.. personal responsibility. I had a business guy lose his blackberry on a drinking binge and swore up and down he was going to sue us because he lost like 800 contacts... had a blackberry for 3 years and never once synced it through desktop manager. He even tried to have his laywer talk to us.. nope .. sorry.. take it to corporate HQ buddy, your client is a drunk moron.
Working at Tmobile isnt any better. Some of their customers have no manners and no money so they expect the world to be handed to them like the government hands them things. Every carrier has their own personal "class" of idiot customer. lol

its really crazy how careless people can be with their phones. my phones is never more than arms length away from me at any given moment. i dont take it around water, ever. if it leaves my pocket when im drinking its only to send a text and then it goes back in my pocket.
like i tried to tell that lady before she bought the battery. it was clearly her charging port and she didnt want to listen to me. for some reason she also thought that she was going to have to pay more money a month for a new phone. i remember telling her that her plan wouldnt change and she still turned the other cheek to the idea. im sorry lady but i told you how it was and you choose not to listen sooo i dont feel sorry for you and your phone issues when all i did was try and help you get a new phone and spend less money and have less to deal with in the fututre.

Somedays you try not to laugh at these customers,others you have to get security. Funtimes.
Some customers just don't generally understand contracts,they think just because they pay a bill it doesn't matter if they are 8 months into an 18 month contract,we HAVE to give them a new phone or they will try cancel the contract. Funniest of all are the people on bill plans which pretty much come in at lower than mosts peoples basic monthly pay as you go top up level would be and expect a FREE top smartphone and look insulted if you say no,
Definitely though people getting more angry about their phones than anything else!

i had a women come into my store a week ago asking for a battery for her phone. i asked her what was wrong with her phone and she said her battery wasnt holding a charge. i sold her a battery after i told her it wouldve been cheaper to just get a new phone (she was due for an upgrade and had a $30 credit on her account, making the phone free). she said no and she knew it was the battery. well i plugged her phone in after putting a brand new battery in and the phone wouldnt charge. i told her again that it wasnt a battery issue and that it was her charging port that was damaged and not allowing the phone to charge. she didnt listen. paid for the battery and left.
saturday she called claiming i sold her a faulty battery and wanted to return it. our return policy is all accessory sales are final, so i told her she couldnt return the battery. two hours later she came in and still tried to return it. i told her again that accessory sales are final. then she asked about getting a cheap phone. i told her we had a phone for $30 on contract. she said that she, once again, didnt want to sign another contract and went on to tell me that shes been a verizon customer for 15 years. i said that was great but unless she wanted to sign another contract she wasnt going to get a phone for cheap. she didnt understand why i was treating her that way and why she just couldnt get a phone.
i was ready for her to go ape sh*t.

I can guess what happened... the guy called on the phone to ask if he could get a Samsung Galaxy S III off contract and the employee said yes. He ask him to ask the manager, the employee doesn't but still says yes. He ask again and the employee says yes. He goes down there and then the employee askes the manager and they tell him no he can't. So he gets frustrated. True story, happened to me.

I'm sure that he was instructed, as nearly all employees are, to not engage nor stop someone from actions such as that. The only thing that does is open up a company to potential lawsuits. The police came and performed their law enforcement duties.

yea, employees will actually get fired for trying to stop a customer. Its a fun rule. We got yelled at for catching a theif that had been stealing tablets from multiple stores. kept him busy while we hit the panic buttons. the guy stole like 8 tablets over the last few months... did we get a congrats? we got a "you cant do that again or you will get fired".
