Dell to launch a duo of 10-inch tablets this year; first one coming this summer
Back in February, we came across Dell's tablet roadmap for 2011, which among several other devices mentioned plans for a 10-inch tablet running Microsoft's Windows 7 operating system. However, what was not yet included on Dell's agenda at that time was that a second device of the same caliber, but running Google's Android OS, was coming down the road as well. The confirmation about both devices comes from sources at Dell itself and were revealed during a conversation with a Forbes representative.

According to the sources, an Android-powered 10-inch tablet will see the light of day very soon – as soon as June of this year. A 10-inch tablet running Android was mentioned in January during CES, but an official release date was never even mentioned leaving rumors to speculate its launch to happen no sooner than next year. Furthermore, it has also been reported that its Windows-based sibiling is also on its way, but it will not be available for purchase before the fall of 2011.

It is still unclear which Android version the tablet will boast, but we are guessing that Honeycomb may not be out of the question. How the tablets will be named remains a mystery, though the Android one might eventually join Dell's Streak family.
