Alleged 12" iPad Pro leaks from Foxconn, thin chassis and quad-speaker system in tow

Alleged 12
Apple's giant Pro tablet is fast approaching, it seems, as we are getting more and more rumors about the eventual 12" iPad thrown at us from all directions. The latest leak supposedly comes directly from Foxconn, Apple's assemblyman, and shows a thin, machined aluminum device with the general shape and form you would expect from the renowned iPad line of tablets. The source pegged the slate's thickness at between 6.9-7.5mm, which is a pretty good achievement, and also confirmed the speculated four built-in speakers.

So far, the rumored specs are a 12.2" or a 12.9" ultra high-res display, and a souped-up Apple A8 chipset, but the biggest difference might be in the software department. Remember the rumors that iPad Air 2 will feature a split-screen functionality? Well, this didn't materialize for Apple's mainstream tablet edition last year, so it might have been preserved for the more professionally oriented iPad Pro/Plus, or whatever the team from Cupertino decides to name it in the spring, when it is expected to be announced.

Speakers on the back or side make no sense.

meh! Larger the size, higher the price. will surely be good for productivity. But not as comparable as surface pro 3 or coming 4. Large screen needs a stylus.

I would only buy iPad if there wouldn't be such a pain in the ass with iTunes OR if it would not exist in my life at ALL ....still have not figured out how to copy pictures from PC to my iPhone, like wtf, userfriendly - my ass. And I do not mean by syncing files, but by actually COPYING them in my phone. Geez, I am whining a lot lately. Sorry.

Anyways I have no idea how can you carry this....no....and only iOS? ..... naaaah, man. I just do not get it.... If I wanted productivity, I guess I would buy a Windows 8.1 tablet or even Macbook Air (if the price is gonna be THAT high)... I am so confused...like what were they thinking? =.= my poor head hurts.

I agree (depending on price) and feel the same way about the 12 inch Galaxy. It's really cool, but for what it costs I think you're way better off with a Windows based laptop or 2 in 1.

Well, after getting to know how to use iTunes it isn't very hard, I also had problems at the beginning but later I figured that it's not bad at all. Now I can't imagine using my iPod without iTunes and Z3C without syncing with MusicBee, it really keeps media organised.

I would only buy the ipad if it ran Android, wasn't grossly overpriced, had expandable memory, open source, and was not made by apple.
At that point I would consider an ipad.

I put photos on Dropbox. It couldn't be easier. They load as fast as being stored locally, take up no space on your device, and you can drag and drop into a folder right in Windows Explorer.

Well yeah, I thouht about the same, but I cannot access my cloud 24/7, because I do not have a wireless connection at home and I have limited data plan on my phone. I am used just to drag&drop files I want on my device and done.

Wow, that suggested pricing seems so ridiculous that it might be spot on considering we are talking about Apple here.

Sorry for the repost.

I tried to delete it, but it doesn't appear that I can and it won't let you edit it after 240 seconds.

It'll be another winner, I prefer the mini's size though.

So how much do they need to pay Apple for the leak this time?
