You can now claim your share of Apple's $250 million settlement online
If you bought a certain iPhone model in the US during certain dates, you could be entitled to receive a share of Apple's $250M settlement.

If you purchased an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence in the US between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025, you can now submit your claim for a share of the $250 million settlement that Apple agreed to in order to avoid a trial. Apple was accused of misleading consumers over the availability of certain Apple Intelligence features and Siri AI.
Apple first hyped Siri AI at WWDC 2024
It all started at WWDC 2024 when Apple, feeling pressure from Google and Samsung to add AI features to the iPhone and to make Siri an AI chatbot, explained what Siri would be able to do in the near future. In this demonstration, an Apple executive asked Siri for information about the arrival time of her mother's flight and subsequent lunch plans.

Siri looked through multiple apps including the Mail app before finding the information requested about the flight. Siri also browsed through the Apple executive's text messages and discovered information about a lunch reservation.
Apple creates a television ad for "Personal Siri"
Siri pulled all of the information together to figure out when and where the executive would meet her mother for lunch. The Maps app had an estimated travel time based on real-time traffic pulled from Apple Maps. Apple even created a television ad promoting "More personal Siri."
But soon, Apple had to announce that the new Siri was indefinitely delayed. Apple finally released Siri AI with the iOS 27 Beta, which was first released after the keynote from this year's WWDC in June. Others received Siri AI when the stable version of iOS 27 was released earlier this month.
Only certain iPhone models, those able to run Apple's Apple Intelligence AI initiative, support Siri AI. Those models, with at least 8GB of RAM, include:

If you purchased one of the following iPhone models between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025, you are entitled to file a claim for a share of Apple's $250 million settlement:

Where to file your claim online
If you bought one of these iPhone models during the aforementioned dates, click on this link to fill out a claim before the December 21, 2026 deadline. Follow the directions to fill out the claim form online. You will need your iPhone's serial number, which you can obtain by going to Settings > About. In the first block of information, you'll find the Serial Number belonging to your iPhone.

The attorneys will file a motion for their fees on November 17. Attorneys typically receive between 20% and 35% of a total settlement fund. Many courts consider 25% to be a benchmark, a starting point with adjustments made depending on the size of the settlement. For larger settlements, the lawyers' fee percentage is usually lowered.
Those iPhone users with a successful claim will receive $25 to $95 per device depending on the number of approved claims received by the court.
On December 21, 2026, you can write to the Court about why you like or do not like the Settlement. You cannot ask the Court to order a larger settlement. Also by that date, you can decide to take your own legal action against Apple by excluding yourself from the class action payout.
You may only request exclusion for yourself. No member of the Settlement Class (or any other person) may request exclusion from the Settlement Class for any other person by themself with exceptions for a Settlement Class Member who is a minor or entity. In either case, an authorized representative may represent the Member. Group opt outs, including "mass" or "class" opt-outs, are prohibited.
On February 24, 2027, the Court will hold a Final Approval Hearing at 9:00 AM PST at the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, San Jose Courthouse, 280 South 1st Street, Courtroom 3 – 5th Floor.
