Many smartphone users believe that Gboard is the best keyboard app available. Android users alone have downloaded the app more than 10 billion times.
Google improved Gboard earlier this year by adding a new feature called Rambler. Powered by AI, Rambler improves the results of voice dictation on your phone. For one thing, Rambler eliminates the filler words you inject into a conversation when thinking about what to say next.
If someone is nervous, they will also use filler words such as "um" and "uh." Rambler will eliminate those words, so when you text something you've dictated, those filler words don't show up.
One toggle is for contact names, and when enabled, it gives Rambler access to your contacts in order to spell names correctly. The second new toggle is titled "Remember corrected words," and when enabled, it will "learn and use words you've corrected when voice typing with Rambler."

What do you like the most about Gboard?
At the bottom of the settings page is a notification telling you that Rambler learns from your contacts and also from words you fix after dictating. Such words will appear on your Voice correction list. Your personal dictionary is used only when typing.

Using the three-dot menu at the top right of the page, you'll be able to import words to the Voice correction list. With the same menu, you can export or share those words with others. Yet another Rambler menu setting, "Clear all corrected words," will delete from the Rambler feature all of the words it has learned from your previous corrections.
Rambler voice-dictation is available exclusively when using Gboard on these phones
If you're wondering how you can get Rambler, you need to keep in mind that it is exclusive to the Google Pixel 11 series consisting of:
However, Google has a strong history of backporting. That's when a feature exclusive to the latest Pixel release is added to older Pixel models. If Google backports Rambler to older Pixel models, these phones would require a Tensor chip with a compatible Tensor Processing Unit (TPU), such as the Tensor G3 and Tensor G4 chips found inside the Pixel 8 and Pixel 9 lines, respectively.
Google has yet to release the new Rambler features, but we wouldn't be surprised to see them start to roll out with an upcoming Pixel Feature Drop. The next one is due next month.
