UK carrier Three launches new social tariff through its sub-brand SMARTY
The cost of living crisis in the UK continues, and to help its customers, Three UK launched a new social tariff via its sub-brand SMARTY. As the carrier announced in a recent blog post, it now offers unlimited data, calls, texts, and access to its 5G network for just £12 a month. Furthermore, the new offering is a 1-month rolling plan, which means customers can change or cancel their service at any given time.

However, not everyone can sign up for the new subscription plan. To be eligible for the new tariff, customers must receive income-based employment support, income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, income support, pension credit, or universal credit. In its blog post, Three also shared that more than 4.2 million households across the UK could benefit from its new tariff.

The latest offering from Three follows a few other measures the carrier has already introduced to support its customers. For example, it donated 1 million GB of data through the Good Things Foundation, zero-rated seven websites that offer financial advice, and relaunched its Reconnected programme, which gives disadvantaged people refurbished old devices and six months of unlimited connectivity.

Three's latest social tariff is definitely good news for people with financial difficulties, but if you don't experience any financial troubles and just want to buy yourself a new powerful smartphone, feel free to check out our best Three phone deals article, where you can find amazing deals on some of the best smartphones on the market.
