The Samsung Galaxy P30 will not include an in-display fingerprint scanner after all

Presently, it’s still unclear which processor will be included inside, although a Qualcomm chip is likely due to their popularity in Asian markets. Despite this, however, it’s been revealed that the new smartphone, which utilizes the model number SM-G6200, will ship with 6GB of RAM inside. This will be coupled with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, as revealed earlier on today. Furthermore, Android 8.1 Oreo will likely be included straight out of the box along with the latest version of Samsung Experience.

As mentioned above, the new smartphone will come equipped with a new LCD display, which is certainly an unusual move for Samsung considering its dedication to AMOLED. Regardless, numerous rumors have recently pointed towards an in-display fingerprint scanner. But according to new information, this is not the case.

Reportedly, the new Galaxy P30 will launch sometime next month alongside the larger Galaxy P30+. These will act as the first smartphones in the upcoming Galaxy P line, which will focus on offering powerful hardware at lower prices.
