Google Photos may soon get new Color Pop effects and manual bokeh
Google Photos is getting new features all the time, although some of them aren't available to everyone at first. For example, Google confirmed it will bring Color Pop effects to Google Photos users, but the feature was only made available to select users.

The good news is Google has started to test Color Pop effects once again, and this time the new feature might come alongside another interesting function that will allow Google Photos users to manually adjust the bokeh effect.

Both features are now available for some Google Photos users, but a wider rollout could commence in the not so distant future. The Color Pop filter is available in the editing tools when you start modifying a picture, while the manual bokeh option is listed under edits.

With manual bokeh, you'll be able to blur the background of a picture. Simply choose the focus of the picture and then adjust the depth of the blur effect. It's impossible to tell when these two features will be ready for primetime, but we hope it's sooner rather than later.
