Windows 8 Consumer Preview now available
Windows 8 has finally come. Well, almost - the Windows 8 Consumer Preview is up for grabs over at Microsoft and you can install it and immerse yourselves in the Metro UI-dominated, gesturized new interface.
The preview version is available for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures, and you can download it as an ISO to later burn to your flash drive or disc, or as a setup file that you can run in Windows Vista and Windows 7.
Currently, you can only test the consumer preview on your laptops or desktop PCs, but in the future, most of the concepts will be implemented in what you see on tablets. There will be added gestures to speed up your work significantly on tablets. Here's what we know about the tablet aspect of Windows 8 so far:
