I'm very, very tempted to do this, but I use the Google navigation feature every single week. The milestone does have the GPS program (Google maps of course) but it does not have Google Navigation (for some reason, Europe can't use it yet). Just that fact makes it worth waiting the few months for 2.1 to come to the Droid offically. After looking at the video, it really looks to make a lot of improvements. Should be good stuff when the real update finally hits!

jcrow, did you really watch the video? it makes everything faster. and the animations look insanely far from the iphone. i guess some people cant handle the fact that the iphone is old news. sigh

I finally got my Droid ported over to 2.1 successfully after bricking it twice. Flashing the Android is definitely a challenge and takes a lot of time to get down. Flashing Blackberry's and Windows based devices are nothing compared to doing Android. Unless you know Linux inside and out, do LOTS of research in forums and google to see how to successfully do this. But i will say that the Droid is much faster and love the new task switcher and app drawer. Definitely appreciate the modders for their hard work but the steps to complete these ROM flashing suck!
