The "Spare Battery and Charger Kit"

One Android Central forum member spent a fruitful Sunday at his local Verizon store picking up a couple of accessories for the Samsung GALAXY Nexus. The "Power and Protection Package", available for $49.97, comes with a black case and holster, a universal car charger with USB slot and three screen protectors. For $39.99, he also bought the "Spare Battery Charger Kit" which comes with an 1850mAh battery, and a stand-alone charger. And to allow you to charge the extra battery and the phone (whenever it shows up) at the same time, you receive a micro-USB Y-cable.

The only thing that is missing is the Samsung GALAXY Nexus itself, although a possible December 8th launch is around the corner. Once the phone hits the market, we might see more information from Verizon about the four docks that are up for pre-order in the UK. The GALAXY Nexus has already been released in that country.

I can't believe we're still waiting for this device to come out lol it seems like it has been forever since the rumors started. Hope this will be a hit!

omg look over there the droid 5..... yes i said 5 what do you mean your still waiting on the nexus as the first phone with ics.. theres the razr the droid 4 a bunch of phones on at&T-mobile sprint and even cricket.. yeah im getting the droid 5 that comes out next week maybe the razrmaxx lol jk jk

i wish they would release this phone ... this is getting rather annoying.. so many devs need to get their hands on something to work from.. making them wait this long is going to be kinda s**tty when you have the ics update coming to other devices early 2012 at least 3 weeks of nexus time should be there before ics hits other devices.

This customer must've been pretty persuasive. I can't imagine the store just had these accessories on the shelf, or else we would've heard more reports.

It's still ridiculous that these accessories are selling and we don't even have a release date. Obviously, the accessories are in the POS system.

With any luck Ill get the ICS update for my RAZR about the same time you all get a release date for the Nexus. Still a great phone for sure, but the Nexus is seeming more and more bland and outdated each and everyday there is no release date announced officially...glad I didnt wait. Loving the RAZR. Bring on ICS update!
