Samsung Gear Fit 2 press render leaks, showing three color options and a vivid AMOLED screen
The original Samsung Gear Fit was an early triumph for the then still novel wearable devices. It had an innovative design and a truly great display for what it is – a functional, but still rather basic fitness monitor. We're glad to see Samsung is bringing the gadget for another spin with the Gear Fit 2.

Scheduled for release later this year, photos of the device have been leaking here and there, with the latest one coming courtesy of the lucrative Evan Blass. The press render Blass published on his Twitter account suggests that Samsung will be selling the Gear Fit 2 in three different colors – black, blue, and... something between pink and purple, heh.

As seen before, the fitness tracker features a color AMOLED screen and it could also turn out to be IP68-certified, meaning it can be submerged in 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes before Poseidon claims it for his underwater kingdom. IP68 also means complete resistance to dust particles. That would make one heavy-duty fitness tracker, folks!

Pricing and release information isn't available yet, but we believe Samsung will release the Gear Fit 2 sometime in August or December, which is a traditional product launch window for the company's mobile business.
