The upcoming yet still unofficial Nokia 800 that many have come to know as the Sea Ray has leaked in a set of press photos that show off the Windows Phone powered device in three different colors.

There is still a lot of mystery surrounding the future Windows Phone handsets to be manufactured by the Finnish company. There haven’t been any announcements to this point regarding their handsets specs, pricing and availability. The leaked press photos show the Nokia 800 in three different colors, black, blue and pink, and remind us all

what type of appearance we can expect Nokia’s Windows Phone devices to have.

Nokia and Microsoft are both hoping that their marriage can give them each a boost in today’s wireless market. Google and Apple are seemingly running away from the competition and even though Windows Phone is viewed as a polished operating system it just hasn’t met expectations yet in terms of sales. Nokia has also faltered as of late as their Symbian OS has lost market share and they abandoned their MeeGo project to a lot of people’s dismay.

It is expected that we will see what Nokia has to offer in terms of hardware for Windows Phone at the Nokia World event. As is always the case we hope to learn more about this and all of Nokia’s other Windows Phone handsets even before they are announced. Check out the photos and tell us what you think.

For starters not Apple fan. This phone looks a lot like the iPod Mini.

It reminds me of an iPod...

It looks like an IPod I have to agree, but without the circular button just a large black touch screen instead. I mean, look at the colors they rendered them...it screams Ipod

Not just the colors either though, if you look up an iPod mini and compare the rounded edges it almost looks like they just took the body of the iPod mini and made it a windows phone.

Nokia's been using similar shapes and materials in their phones for a while. Nokia took their design cues from their previous phones, not from the iPod mini.

Well, that is to be expected. Apple wants everyone to think that it looks just like a prior Apple product.

Nokia hardware design team: "Mr. Elop, we have a draft of the design we want to use for the '800'. How does it look?"

Steven Elop: "Not bad, but it needs to look more like this..."

Nokia hardware design team: "But... that's an iPod Mini..."

Steven Elop: "Well, it... ummm... but don't you think it looks better?"

Nokia hardware design team: "Ummm... okay.... but..."

Steven Elop: "Well, make it look more like this, or I will have to change the name to the 'Nokia iPod Mini'!"

Nokia hardware design team: "Ummm... I think we're going to have problems if..."

Steven Elop: "Yeah... errrr... not really. Don't worry, if you make it look like this, then it will sell like crazy, and all sorts of former Symbian fanboys will be converts to Windows Phone, and will stay with Nokia."

Nokia hardware design team: "But..."

Steven Elop: "Don't worry about it. Just do as I say, and everything will be okay when Apple sues us and our stocks plummet so that Microsoft can... errrr... I mean... actually I was just kidding. Just make the dang thing!"

Bwahahahaha!!! >8-P

Yea, same like iPad had a strange similarity to Nokia N810.

I was really looking forward to this phone and Nokia has made some stunning phones and this does look good but its a big disappointment.
I was hoping for a different design.
I'll be waiting a while until Nokia come out with a new design before getting a Nokia WP7.

I like the look of the materials they used, and I really really like the raised, curved glass for the screen. My only gripe about this design is that it seems like there is a lot of wasted space around the screen. I would have tried to make a bigger screen with the same overall phone size.

This looks like an N9 but running W7

16. SuperMECD posted on 19 Oct 2011, 18:53 2

Kind of what HTC did with the
Titan - Sensation XL
and
Radar - Rhyme

but it's good looking anyway. the n9 IS a beautiful device

i'm exited to see the new version of "ovi maps" or nokia navigation, as it is called as of now

Wish there were better colors. Black is everywhere and boring and the other two are girly.
