HTC Zara mini: images and specs leak out
Having just passed through Tenaa, the Chinese FCC-equivalent, any hope for a surprise as far as the HTC Zara mini is concerned can be abandoned. As if the semi-official images weren't enough, we also have our first set of alleged specs that will come packed in the mini version of the mid-ranger. As you're about to see, the scoop is rather extensive, all things considered.
HTC Zara mini specs:
4.3-inch, 480x800 TFT display
1GHz dual-core chipset, possibly a Snapdragon 400
512MB of RAM, 8GB of microSD-expandable internal storage
A 5MP CMOS sensor capable of 720p video at the rear with a 1.3MP front shooter
132x66x9.88mm, weighs 125g
dual-SIM support, compatible with GSM/WCDMA networks
gravity, proximity and light sensors
comes in black and white
Release date remains unknown, but the word on the street is that the HTC Zara mini will come commanding a price of about $212 (1299 Yuan).

I guess the bezels for this is handling the device better.

The side bezels on the ONE are huge as well...the top and bottom bezels on this one are not helping either, what's up with that..

Bezel on HTC One is well used for speakers. BoomSound

what is the big deal with large bezels, it actually doesn't make any difference, its the phone experience along with the price that it is coming that should be concerned..

With 512MB it will have problems running even the current version of Android... this is an entry-level phone, and the price seems to be too high. Its competitors (s3 mini, Xperia L or M, to name a few) all have 1gb of ram.

I liked the more curvy design in the past rumor

Another fail! 512MB RAM ain't enough nowadays. Even Low-end phones like Xperia L, P or Galaxy Grand/Core/Win series comes with 1GB RAM

512mb ram ?? wtf ?? I bet the difference between 512mb ram and 1gb ram only cost HTC 2$ or 3$ more at much hahaha HTC I cannot believe how you actively becomes less attractive to me. 2 years ago, think of a smartphone, I think of HTC. Nowadays, NO WAY !!
to HTC fanboy: I used 3 HTC phones in the past and still use HTC chacha now. but my next phone will never be HTC again
