Android 4.0 update for Asus Eee Pad Transformer to happen early next month

So you own the Asus Eee Pad Transformer and you are developing Ice Cream Sandwich envy because the Asus Transformer Prime has received the Android 4.0 update (OTA, by the way). Things are so bad, you won't even look at the frozen dessert section in the supermarket for fear of seeing a box of Ice Cream Sandwich treats. Well, we have some news for you and we think it is not too bad.
Asus Singapore had originally stated that the update for the Eee Pad Transformer would take place immediately after the Transformer Prime received its update, but had to retract that statement. Then, a follow-up from Asus Singapore suggested that the manufacturer had to wait for Google to approve the release and said the update would come at the end of the month. But that also is incorrect, as it turns out.
Asus has now told Android Police (and you don't lie to the cops) that the update will take place in early February. North America and Taiwan will get Ice Cream Sandwich first for the Asus Eee Pad Transformer, according to the site.
Now that wasn't too bad. Surely you can hold out for just another couple of weeks. Besides, you can do without those extra calories until then.

Its going to be a long wait. But on a totally unrelated note, ICS is running great on my Evo 3D :P

Root away! Its still in alpha, but runs smooth and doesn't crash. You have to sacrifice camera/4G/3D, but its worth it

I don't have ICS envy. The Eee Pad Transformer is serving me very well as is. I don't feel the need for ICS, but getting ICS would be a bonus for me.
