Verizon is selling a bunch of new Motorola foldables (and the Moto Watch Ultra) all of a sudden
It looks like the once very tight relationship between Motorola and Verizon might be tightening again with an onslaught of new product releases on Big Red.
Verizon devotees looking to get one of the best foldable devices around straight from their favorite carrier should rejoice, as said mobile network operator is now carrying the Motorola Razr Fold, Razr Plus (2026), and Razr (2026) with Crystals by Swarovski in addition to the standard Razr (2026).
While it's not entirely clear what's taken Big Red so long to pick up a couple of Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip rivals unveiled so many months ago, this still looks like a major US availability win for Motorola, especially because the just-announced Moto Watch Ultra is joining the brand's latest foldable phones on Verizon.
What 2026 Motorola foldable should you buy?
As you can imagine, I can't offer you a universal answer to that question, as different customers often have different needs, size preferences, and form factor preferences.
If you like book-style foldables (even after the arrival of the passport-style Galaxy Z Fold 8 and ahead of the iPhone Duo's long overdue debut), you will probably love Motorola's first-gen Razr Fold... but loathe its $1,949.99 retail price on Verizon. That's $50 higher than what the device manufacturer itself typically charges for the same product in an unlocked variant, but for what it's worth, Big Red can mark that down to $1,200 if you don't have a problem opting for its Simplicity plan.

Motorola's first-ever book-style foldable device is certainly not cheap on Verizon, but with a Simplicity plan, the obscene $1,949.99 list price goes down to only $1,200. That's definitely not bad for a powerful and versatile handset with two impressive screens in tow, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor under the hood, three 50MP cameras, and a whopping 512GB storage paired with a fittingly hefty 16GB RAM count.
The Razr Plus (2026), meanwhile, is this year's best Motorola flip phone available on Verizon, starting at $1,099.99 and going down to $720 under the same simple condition as the Razr Fold's much heftier discount. Before you pull the trigger, though, keep in mind that a higher-end Razr Ultra (2026) model can be had from its manufacturer's official US e-store... for $1,499.99.

Equipped with 6.9 and 4-inch AMOLED screens, a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, 4,500mAh battery capable of charging at up to 45W rates, 256GB storage, 12GB RAM, and dual 50MP rear-facing cameras, the Razr+ (2026) is not Motorola's greatest new flip phone, but it's close, and at $720 with a Verizon Simplicity plan, it's not exactly prohibitively priced.
Last but not necessarily least among Motorola's 2026 foldables, the recently unveiled Razr 2026 with Crystals by Swarovski hits Verizon before any other carrier in the US, fetching $999.99 or $480 with a Simplicity plan. That's certainly not bad for arguably the flashiest Galaxy Z Flip 8 alternative you can buy right now stateside.

If you think the Razr Fold is the best foldable phone for you today and Verizon the right path to purchase Motorola's (slightly underpowered) Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra alternative, then the answer to that question is a definite yes.

The Moto Watch Ultra, mind you, is Motorola's first Wear OS-powered device in nearly a decade, and it costs $349.99 outright with standalone LTE connectivity and up to two days of battery life. Like the aforementioned special Razr 2026 Swarovski edition, the intelligent timepiece is being released on Verizon before reaching T-Mobile or AT&T, which might be signaling something for the future.
Should we expect other Motorola products on Verizon soon?
I'm just speculating here, of course, but after this sudden wave of Moto launches on Verizon, I believe we could see the carrier pick up the Signature 27 in the near future.

After all, Motorola and Verizon used to be as close as two coats of paint just a few years ago, so it would definitely make sense to see that relationship rekindled now that the device manufacturer is stepping things up in the foldable landscape, the smartwatch arena, and the non-foldable high-end smartphone space.
At the same time, I probably shouldn't jump to too many (positive) conclusions seeing as how the Razr Fold, for instance, made its debut on T-Mobile all the way back in May.
