Verizon's Backup Assistant starts to make its way onto the BlackBerry Storm2
Making an arrival that's on schedule, Verizon BlackBerry Storm2 owners can now start using the ever so popular Backup Assistant for their handsets. We've reported a few days ago that the popular address book syncing client was expected to be available for the Storm2. For the longest of times, Backup Assistant was available for most of Verizon's feature phones while smartphones were left to fend on their own. BlackBerry owners had to rely on using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager program to get contacts on their phone backed up. Apparently Storm2 owners have begun to notice the icon popping up in their handsets over the course of the last few days – so now they won't have to worry about the some times painful steps in backing them up manually. Thanks to the cloud based services, owners can still breathe easily in the event they either break or lose their smartphones.
